He also proved he wasn't just a passenger and had some pretty impressive goals away from the Sedins...... and no I'm not talking about the empty net goals. - belcherbd
I agree, but take a look at Sutter's first assist numbers. He makes his wingers worse. |

Found a interesting/ridiculous article on clutch scoring which is headlined ironically by both Sutter and Bonino at opposite ends of the spectrum.
I'm not a believer in "clutch" and think that this is prime example of stats being used to portray a useless scenario.
Anyways using high danger scoring chances and taking in account when a goal was scored in down by 1, up by 1 and tied situations, this Dallas fan came up with a "clutch" stat from last season. As well they limited it to players who had played 750+ min.
Bonino was ranked as the most clutch player above Bergeron, Perry, Ryan and Horcoff.
Sutter was ranked the 2nd worst behind Panik and right after JVR, Cole and Williams.

A weaned harbor seal pup was resting onshore when an untagged male sea otter approached it, grasped it with its teeth and forepaws, bit it on the nose, and flipped it over. The harbor seal moved toward the water with the sea otter following closely. Once in the water, the sea otter gripped the harbor seal’s head with its forepaws and repeatedly bit it on the nose, causing a deep laceration. The sea otter and pup rolled violently in the water for approximately 15 min, while the pup struggled to free itself from the sea otter’s grasp. Finally, the sea otter positioned itself dorsal to the pup’s smaller body while grasping it by the head and holding it underwater in a position typical of mating sea otters. As the sea otter thrust his pelvis, his penis was extruded and intromission was observed. At 105 min into the encounter, the sea otter released the pup, now dead, and began grooming - Pres.cup
Ok, not sure I get the point of this post - PSA? voyeuristic anecdote? morbid factoid? or are you simply trying to elicit some sort of shock-value reaction? |

I think that hunting for sport is a barbaric practice. The only time I could condone hunting is if it is to feed yourself or your family. I just don't get the 'thrill' of killing what is essentially a defenceless animal - Zogg
Terms like defenseless animal are funny. You give animals no credit. They are just dumb and useless.... hunting is easy. NOT
Barbaric? Mother nature is far more cruel than a bullet or an arrow. Typically, a hunters kills with the most humane deaths that will happen to an animal in the wild with the exclusion of vehicles, falling of cliffs and lightening strikes. Starving? Freezing? Run for days by wolves and then exhausted they watch their guts being fought over while the wolves start feeding long before they die. Nature is not a cartoon.
Hunting is in our genetics... or many of us at least. The gatherers have turned on the hunters... who I guess should have been eaten by the predators thousands of years ago without the hunters protection to spare us the problems of the Disney generation today.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree (on even the most fundamental level it would seem, as I do not believe whatsoever that animals are 'dumb and useless' and I think the majority of the people have the same viewpoint).
I do understand that there are situations where hunting is a necessity to provide for food for you and your family. I just don't get (and never will) what the thrill of killing something is, regardless of the method used (although I'm sure hunting is not easy, it still favours the hunter basically 100% (so although the animal is not defenseless per se, it still has no chance against man and his weapons)
That said, I also understand that there is a level of hypocrisy, as I do eat meat and enjoy it (albeit I would like to think that some day I would be able to live on more of a vegetarian type lifestyle). |

I believe in Grizzly Hunting . If someone would have shot Stu Jackson and Brian Big Country Reeve, we would probably still have NBA here in Vancouver |

Hunting favoring the hunter 100%. You are really in the dark about hunting obviously. It's not in a boxing ring. success rate is very low every time you go out. If you are good... better but always in fair chase it favors the animal greatly unless it's a cull hunt. Some guides offer 100% success rate... but such a tiny minority of hunters can afford those hunts. Almost all hunts are do it yourself.
I have no argument to put up for someone who doesnt understand the thrill. What argument is there? .. People have it or they dont.
You are a gatherer... back in the stone age you'd be picking berries and weaving baskets while lefty and I were out hunting. The chicks would dig us big time but point talk rumors about your man parts(all lies of course).
