I beg to differ. We don't "beertality" people and tear up 10-year-old's Packers cheese heads. - jmatchett383
Steeler fans are Eagles fans but with a historically great franchise.
Their fans ridicule other teams for having criminals on the roster, but are very quick to forgive Roethlisberger after he allegedly sexually assaulted two women. James Harrison also acknowledged he beat his girlfriend, but he's paraded around as if nothing happened. Their owners, the Rooney's, are viewed as being very progressive and having great morals, yet they continue to employ several players with a violent history against women. And, their fans are just the worst. They won't even acknowledge that their greatest dynasty was built through rampant steroid use.
They won a Super Bowl and consistently make the playoffs under Mike Tomlin, but they want him fired because the team doesn't player "Steeler Football" (And because he's black).
They're the worst. |

Well, I figure that Raffl, Giroux, Voracek, Schenn, Read, Couturier, and Simmonds are locks to make the team. I figure that Gagner and Umberger are virtual locks. That means that only 3 of Vinny, Porter, Laughton, VdV, Bellemare, and White can round out the lineup (assuming no one from the other group impresses). That's a hefty task. - jmatchett383
I was surprised to not see umberger - Schenn - Gagner. Porter - Laughton - vinny |

It's be better if he had zero value. He has negative value as it is |

That's more what I was getting at. Yes, it's Day 1, but it's just a little odd to me where Porter was, because Lord knows Schenn really needs to be playing with people who he is likely going to play with in the regular season
Again: That guy's inconsistency drives me insane. And I don't know that he's a long-term solution to anything
But at the same time, it's always these little things where his defenders can reasonably ask if he gets put in the best situations.
I mean, come on. Yes, it's camp. It's Day 1. But does Schenn really need to be on a practice line with Chris Porter? It's hard to see how that helps him. Maybe it doesn't hurt Schenn. Fine.
But does it help him? I don't see how that does |

Yea they traded for a player who was about to get bought out. I'd argue Pronger likely was the more valuable piece to them in the deal because of how much he helped getting to the floor |

Rumours are rumours. Gagner is not a player who had no value. The Flyers were able to move the Pronger contract, and get a decent offensive player, for a defenseman who many claim wasn't very good.
3.6M for a defenseman of Schenn caliber is not even remotely a big cap number. Due to the fact that he's in the last year of his deal, his value will be even higher at the trade deadline, if the Flyers decide to be a seller.
Your claims that Schenn would be difficult to trade, or has negative value, is as false as the claims you made previously regarding the Flyers ability to trade Grossmann. |

Also the point I was trying to make. I know you've got to try different things and accommodate players, but I don't know why you'd put Porter on that line. |

Are we really supposed to be bad this year? Vegas has us at the bottom 4 in the league. |

Cause he's a LW and the coach seems to view BSchenn as a RW, so he put him on the RW. If he's going to be a RW this season then playing that position from the start of camp should help him. |

They had the 49ers in last place to start the season..as they romped the Vikings 20-3 who somehow were 16th? |

Ah...so he's got Schenn slated to be on the 4th line, since he's got that line together from the start of camp to help them gel? If you're gonna slot players where you expect them to play, you should also have them playing with players you expect them to play with. |

There's an easy way to make them pay if you think they are wrong... I'm sure someone will give you odds that the Flyers make the playoffs if you wanted. |

Brayden Schenn could very well be playing RW with Laughton as his center when the regular season starts, and that would not be the 4th line. But there are two games on Monday night so the top players are spread over six lines at the moment. |

SO he's just haphazardly throwing players together now? Even if they split squads, I'd think that Hakstal would like to keep the lines close to what they may be come the regular season. If you have too many RW/LW on the roster, then someone has to move. |

Morin is only 2 inches shorter than Chara. He must be able to do at least 80 considering he's much lighter, and younger. |
