now...but they had Paille (1.1m), Campbell (1.6m), Kelly (3m), Peverly (3.25m) all locked up long term immediately after the cup win. Thats a lot of bottom 6 guys locked up long term getting into their 30s already.

I will agree they were a good line, but thats my point too. They started to invest over 9-12m in bottom 6 guys who are 30 or more in age. Eventually you have to cut those guys lose to bring in younger guys on ELCs or young prospects etc. You cant sustain success long term if populate your depth with over paid older vets.

But I think that was more of a top down franchise look at things, they reward their "Bruins Way" kind of players.

I ask you why. The Avs did it. The Pens, The Hawks, The B's, The Kings... dreadful seasons have been turned around to playoffs before. There's a lot of quality additions to this team, and for the first time in a long time, the biggest question is now our goalie.

I finally watched Narcos...episode 1 was awesome!! Even if it just maintained that sort of narrative throughout the series, rather than it turn into a developing drama show, I would be happy. I am disappointed it took me until REAL TV season started to start watching it, now there's too much on TV to watch to distract me.

Anyone else watch it?

If we didn't use that 1st rounder to get Lehner, it would have been part of the O'Reilly deal. So I would stop dwelling on it and just move on.
