I was glued to the tv when I started watching that, he was his own worst enemy. Watch Cocaine Cowboys if you want a real scare. What would 25 billion back then be worth now?

Cocaine Cowboys was great. Burying money in the Glades was probably a bad idea in retrospect though, but paying off your neighbors? Pure genius. Haven't seen Cocaine Cowboys 2 yet, but it's in my queue/list or whatever they call it now.

Also the problem with Pablo is a lot of the stuff is more myth than anything else now. Like the story that when he was on the run he had to burn a literal pile of money just to stay warm. There's only one person who knows the answer to that and he's got a severe case of lead poisoning, like (spoilers?) Denzel at the end of Training Day severe, so I doubt you'll get an answer to that one.

No, I'm with you, but where does he fit in Buffalo? Even if you don't make the O'Reilly deal, I still think 3C at best behind Ennis/Eichel, and Girgensons.

I think he can be Thomas Vanek 2.0 with slightly upgraded wheels, but maybe a downgrade on the shot? Vanek has a wicked shot. Either way, biggish guy gets to the blue ice on the PP and knocks home a lot of goals ala Andreychuk from 2' out, but with enough speed and hands to be a special player in this league for quite awhile. (Also I know it kind of reads that I'm implying that Andreychuk wasn't a special player; that couldn't be farther than the truth. I was just trying to provide some imagery for Grigorenko's style in front.)

Now, he's right handed and we could've used him on the wing, but apparently he refused to play wing? I thought I heard that somewhere; they certainly had the opportunity to play him on the right side. A lot of good/great centers started out playing the wing. Getzlaf, Kessler, Ennis, for some reason I want to say Stamkos did too, but I just can't remember. It was Barry Melrose, so anything is possible. Those guys maybe minus Stamkos just right off the top of my head at 3am. And I know there're more.

P.S. To the other posters complaining about "experts" and what the Sabres "should" do.
I don't think most of the guys on here think they're experts; notice I said most, not all. Like my post here is a response to a guy who was pissed that Grigorenko was traded and it made me think what his ideal role could be. I'm not saying "Boy, you know, if they'd have listened to me we'd have won a Cup by now!" like some posters do. I was just having some fun with it; as do 98% of these types of posts.

Yeah after all those moves (armia, stafford, 2 late 1sts, zadorov, myers, grigorenko, compher) i feel that losing zadarov hurt the most. We still got a quality big bodied dman back in the myers move. A 6"4 240lb hole is all thats left after zads departure lol

We are all ovbiously much smarter than All NHL GMs combined....they do it for a living spending hours and hours on their job everyday, with huge stFfs to assist them.

We on the other hand do this on a gratis basis, during the off hours, when we are under the influence with no help from others.

Well, it has been determined on these boards that physicality on Defense is so old school and not required anymore...look for Sabres to start targeting 5'4" Dmen in the draft who are very fleet of foot!
