According to the lawyer it's the rape kit from the night of the incident with the signature of the nurse who administered it. The bag always travels with the evidence and is considered part of the evidence.

They had a different house lawyer from TSN on and he confirmed what was said, that he's never heard of the test kit bag being removed from the custody of the police or the DA. He said it's probably fatal to the case.

Someone just left it in the mother's back door between the actual door and the storm door. Now they're looking for that person to come forward and to get the FBI and/or the State Police involved in how this could happen.

I'm wondering if a message is being sent to Morin. They obviously need a few bodies at forward and defense for the balance of pre-season. Giving Ghost a longer look makes sense. You can make an argument for Hagg as well. But Marti? Keeping him over Morin has got to be some sort of message. Is Marti injured?

Just because he was loaned back to the Phantoms doesn't mean he still cant play in every preseason game. I think they have a pretty good idea of what the roster is going to be, and they also want the Phantoms to be successful this season. That is what i read in to it.

Last year he was the last cut. This year he gets cut with the balance of AHLers. That has to be a disappointment to Morin, going "backwards" when he fully expected to make the team. There isn't some league mandated roster size by date prior to the last day of preseason like in the NFL, as far as I know. So they could have carried him a few more games.

Maybe they wanted to give him a message.

Morin may have fully expected to make the team, but with the signing of Medvedev, that wasn't very likely. Morin can still play in pre season games.

Maybe they want more playing time for the older guys to showcase for trade possibilities? Same even as the AHLers ? When we did draft Ivan, some said wouldn't doubt if a prospect (Hagg) would be moved w someone else for an immediate roster player now

I just think it's a little curious. He only gets one game with the nhl squad. Isn't even paired with Ghost, which many had predicted. And is sent back befor Hagg. I'm curious what will be said when Hakstol and Hextall address the media next.

Hextall could be posturing. Sending the kids back now says "I'm comfortable with the guys we have moving forward" instead of "oh poop, we need to get rid of a guy."
