It's not curious at all. He's not close to being ready for full time duty, and we have a gluttony of defensemen. The only prospect player that ever had a realistic shot of making the team was Ghost, and even he will likely be a final cut.

I expect more of the same from Hextall in any future comments regarding all roster cuts: "be patient".

Maybe it's as simple as Hagg outplayed Morin in Brooklyn and so he gets to stay up a bit longer. Long term it doesn't matter. They'll both be in the AHL most if not all this season.

Ghosts injury has nothing to do with the fact that hes still the most polished and NHL ready of the bunch. It's all irrelevent honestly. We don't have a roster spot for even 1 prospect player to make the team.

I think Gostisbehere's offensive game and ability to play on the PP, is NHL caliber right now. I don't think his play away from the puck defensively, is ready. If the Flyers felt they needed to, they can make a roster spot without much of an issue.

I think Gostisbehere's offensive game and ability to play on the PP, is NHL caliber right now. I don't think his play away from the puck defensively, is ready. If the Flyers felt they needed to, they can make a roster spot without much of an issue.

I thought he looked better last year in the preseason which isn't surprising. He hasn't played hockey in awhile coming into camp this year. Absolutely the shot is special, but is a small part of the whole picture
