You can't be surprised. It's the exact same thing they did last season. Get them in here, get them through rookie camp, give them a couple preseason games and get them back to junior. There will be no long looks for players from the previous two draft classes.

Hextall has been quite clear on how he views bringer younger players along. This really shouldn't come as any surprise. The days of keeping a guy like Simon Gagne or Justin Williams around, straight out of Junior, are kind of over for this franchise (unless they get the next wunderkind kid like McDavid or Eichel or someone).
