If it was that open and shut, he'd have been arrested already. The fact that he was allowed to even leave the state to go to training camp says a lot IMO.
As far as the evidence goes, there's a custody trail for it. Whoever is listed on that is going to be in some hot water over this. I don't know that it has any real effect on Kane in a negative way unless they find that he himself actually did something to it, which is very unlikely. But, what do I know. I could be completely wrong.

Now, for real information from my friend who knows the girl and her entire family since he was 5 says that it was mutual until Kane pulled the flip and tried to put it where she didnt want it. She got pissed ran out, called her brother.

Channel 4 has a facebook post up about it. The comments are just ridiculous. People are saying he shouldn't be allowed to play and all sorts of other stuff.

He should be suspended as a precautionary step for the NHL. I don't know the CBA but suspend him with pay or suspend with the stipulation that he gets his money should he be found not guilty.
The reason I say that is if he is found guilty and the NHL does nothing it is a big blemish for the NHL. The guy put himself in a situation where this could happen and, whether he did it or didn't, that's what the blackhawks have been trying to get him to stop doing for years now.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree. It's been over 7 weeks since he was accused and he's yet to be arrested. That has to say something. Here in America, you are innocent until proven guilty and to prevent him from going to work right now would be an injustice to him.
I think the NHL is trying their best to stay as far out of this as they can. If they do suspend him, it points to them saying they feel he did it which wouldn't be fair at this stage IMO.

The idiot lawyer held up the real item, and it had the accuser's real info on it. The pictures Jr. posted were on the table for the press with the info redacted. So her own lawyer outed her now...

This development would make it far more understandable why the victim would decide it is not worth a criminal trial and simply settle the entire matter as a civil damages (i.e MONEY), and make it less likely that people would just consider her a "gold digger."
In court, yeah. But in a private organization there's less evidence needed. That's why I say with pay. That way they can distance themselves without fully punishing him. I just feel it will be bad for the league if 6 months down the road it turns out they were letting a rapist play on national tv and showcasing him. It's not an easy decision and I'm glad it's not mine to make, that's just my opinion.

If I'm reading that right, they lost custody and the moment it entered the accuser's family's residence it became tainted. See ya, kit.

Chicago tribune said no DNA was found below her waist but did show up above her shoulders and under her finger nails. - cabin
They said before that DNA of that type could be from just being out together in general though. It doesn't mean anything in this type of case because it was never a question that they were together at all that night. If he was saying he didn't even know who she was and that type of evidence came to light it would be a completely different story, but since that's not how this particular instance has occurred, it's moot.
