Can't argue with that logic.

Babcock will snap at the media at some point, it's inevitable.

i always hoped Torts would end up in Toronto.

I still to this day get pain once and awhile, the surgeon said it is scare tissue that falls into the kidney, anything that touches your kidney will hurt quite a bit.

A have three scars where they inserted the tubes on my kidney area, it is still tender and the surgery was in 2007. The alternative before was removal of kidney, the surgery I had was relatively new and only done by a handful of surgeons in Ontario.

But ya see....thats why Bozak would be traded before the 1st game of the season
- ThePresident

Even trading Bozak - Leafs still have a bunch of C's

Probably because he's good.

My guess anyway.

We have about 14 other c's at camp that are men already....we're going to try and dress them up and put on some lipstick and trade them for future pieces to help Nylander

- Garnie

Got to get this idea out of your head they will get something good out of these PTO players at the DL. Every team has PTO's at camp, the Leafs will get 6 and 7th rounders if anything for them, we will get nothing out of those picks that we don't already have in the system now.

can't attend pro-hockey camp... he's going to US College.

it would ruin his eligibility - US Colleage/NCAA has stupid rules. Same rules the identify OHL, QMJHL and WHL players as "professional".

- BorjeFan4Ever

Interesting, didn't know that...and what about a guy like Andreas Johnson from Sweden...I know he said he plans on staying in Sweden for the upcoming season...but could he have been invited? I think it would benefit a lot of these guys that would otherwise not be used to the NHL game.

probably.. .but who cares.

No one should expect or tolerate having every move and decision critiqued by a bunch of blow-hard no-nothings.

I don't know why - and have never understood why - the players and coaches tolerate the insanely stupid questions that they are asked.

Think back to the Burke-Simmons interaction when Burke was 'relieved of duties'. You have got to believe that Burke would have had less criticism from the rest of the doinks if he called Simmons out publicly earlier on.

yes.. but it keeps the kids on the marlies where they belong

you dont want to subject them to the environment the leafs are gonna be in this year.. nowhere nears mature enough to handle it

You're wasting your time. This is the whole don't want to rush prospects, but (frank) me he's a prospect get him in thing all over again. Happens annually.

Obviously.

But we can agree that the same thing could be said about a bunch of NHLers currently on the Leafs roster.

My kids had stomach issues - day 16 - finally heading to see somebody in Ottawa after numerous trips to the hospital

how can he deserve a spot 3 minutes into training camp? what you're talking about is not a player earning or forcing his way into the lineup. you're talking about entitlement.
- DoubleDown

Yeah but Pecafan guesses that he's good. That should be enough.

All the more reason to stop it from continuing by properly developing the new players when they're still <20.

We don't know that for sure

Winnik
Santo

Last year, this year I like Matthias being a good candidate

Just my opinion - Shanahan said they were going to build smart and let the young guys learn the game in the A or ECHL etc why all of a sudden change course

Hey I'm not saying he'll be in the lineup. But those convinced that he is, probably say that because they believe he's good enough. No?

Whatever, I think he should get at least a few games early on and see how he looks.

It's not something that will end up costing the Leafs their season anyway, is it?

lol, you can see it in Babcock's facial expressions....like are they really (frank)ing asking me this question with an obvious answer? It really is quite sad how much these reporters follow this team, when you actually put it into perspective...it's a hockey team.

That's not a nice thing to say about Damien Cox. He's just trying to feed his family.

he looks like he's going to be a player, no doubt. and i'm not even saying i don't think he makes the Leafs. but to say that he's already earned a spot in the NHL? i don't see how.

Correct. The PTO's are seat-fillers, not assets. There is a slim chance a seat filler shows a little extra and garners a return and that would be great but thats about it.

He will get games, using defensive issues is a crock, the whole team has defensive issues, the system is being learned by all, even the marlies are learning it to start the season, on one has a step on each other in this regard.
