i dont disagree.. but you cant justify mishandling current prospects because the players on the current roster were mishandled

you love the kids LM.. always have.. but its time to sit and be patient for a couple more years.. hell.. Marner wont even be a pro for two years yet.

we glorify the prospects way too much.

look at how everyone just loved Leivo and figured he should be a top candidate for the leafs....Babcock doesnt agree obviously as he was in the first round of cuts.

our conception of some of these kids is that will come in and light it up.. they dont.. never do either.. every time they get a chance they show potential, but its just potential.. the guys on the leafs are better hockey players right NOW. no question... the prospects have POTENTIALLY higher ceilings.. but have come nowhere close to reaching them.

keep those kids buried for a couple more years.. let babcock establish his systems and get the vets playing them to a tee so that when a kid is finally brought up, the transition will be seamless

You keep players that matter in the future on the Marlies. No point keeping the lost causes on the Marlies. Let them be a stop gap. Only players on the Leafs that matter for the future of the organization is Rielly, Bernier and possibly Gardiner and Kadri.
