I don't think Marner's development will be hampered by another year in London. It'll be his team, and he has the chance to play with Tkatchuk or Jones. Both of whom are projected as top ten picks, where the Leafs should be picking. |

what's going to be funny is that Kessel pots 40+ for the first time ever, and then Clarkson some how manages to get 25 to 30 again, and both the Jackets and pens make the playoffs...good times.
The Clarkson prediction is a long shot I know, but hey it's the Leafs, so that increases the probability to 100% guaranteed. |

how can he deserve a spot 3 minutes into training camp? what you're talking about is not a player earning or forcing his way into the lineup. you're talking about entitlement.

Uhh no.
He played a full year in the AHL without any complaints whatsoever. And he excelled. He played in the SHL also, so this whole "he's not a man yet" viewpoint is redonk. He's the son of a very good NHLer so that helps too. He's physically ready as I previously stated.
Oh and he's VERY GOOD AT HOCKEY 
Ya let's send him back because... y'know... the know-it-alls of hockeybuzz heard a quote sometime ago about developing prospects in the minors...
I'll bet anyone here he's playing opening night.
