There are so many things pointing to her using this as some sort of pay day at this point it's not even funny. It pains me to say that, but I just don't see how it could be anything else at this point.

Perhaps, but at this point, nothing would surprise me. It could very well be a family member did something stupid out of frustration that the evidence wasn't as convincing for a court.

Yeah, it's definitely a weird way to handle it, But the fact that he has now resigned from the case because the story he was given didn't add up with what the County Investigators told him certainly doesn't help her case any.

When the DNA evidence first came out saying that none of Kane's DNA was on her below the waist I figured that was good for him, but didn't think it was enough to say nothing happened. However, the fact that they found several other males DNA instead is pretty telling, IMO.

I won't lie, I am kinda glad it is playing out this way. Everyone wanted Kane arrested thrown in jail forever and suspended indefinitely from the league as soon as the words drunk and sex were used in the same paragraph. Any man or woman who endures being raped definitely deserves to see justice, BUT no one gets to decide someones fate before the facts are known.

I've said right from the get go that no matter what the outcome ends up being, it's sad. Because either a really great hockey player and a very visible Buffalonian did something really horrible or this woman was exploiting him for money which makes people doubt other women when they say they've been raped.

So much for him being all that when the Leafs picked him.

The problem is that these guys that are into advanced stats think the stats are a be all end all, and they're not. They're only half the story. You have to actually watch the game to get the whole story. For all we know, the reason that Gardiner has good possession stats is because of the rest of the guys on the ice with him, such as his defense partner.

Just my opinion of course.
