Kadri and Schenn are the only non top line/pairing players there and in a re-draft, most would take Kadri before him. So I'm sticking to my firm C cup level bustiness assessment.

It is unrealistic to EXPECT to get an elite player outside the top 3 in most drafts. Not saying it never happens. Carey Price was 5th overall... but so was Raffi Torres...

Overall I am really impressed by the tone and style that Shanahan has introduced.

I have always believed Leaf fans would love a young rebuilding team. It is great fun to grow with a young team and watch them become a playoff team and ultimately a contender.

So far all the decisions seem pretty solid to me.

They are NOT making their decisions on prospects based on who drafted them. That would be idiotic. They are making these decisions on a case by case basis. Gauthier drafted later in the first round is nowhere near as talented as Nylander and Marner who are high end picks. It's always been expected that Gaut will need a few years of AHL and it's never been expected that he would be a top 6 player.

That is a solid plan. If it actually happened before. I'm not aware of any ex-canuck traded for high picks by the leafs except for Santorelli who was included with Franson for a 1st.

So I checked here for the youtube streams people posted to stream the leafs game.. I'll have to watch a lot of games this year through that stream. How do I go abouts finding it every game so I don't have to look through the threads? what do I type into youtube? the date and who's playing?
