Most of us agree it wasn't a good trade but let's see how Lenner does. I'm not throwing in the towel on the caveman just yet. - mhp

nothing says happy birthday like this
"Archer's birthday start goes all wrong
Two things happened today for Rays SP Chris Archer: He turned 27, and he had one of the worst birthday starts in MLB history. He's the first pitcher (starter or reliever) to allow nine earned runs on his birthday since the White Sox's Hollis "Sloppy" Thurston did it in 1925." |

Someone care to remind me what "genius" Turd Murray gave up for the piece of swiss cheese Lehner that has been impersonating an NHL goalie the past few games? - BuffaloHardHat
This makes me feel much better about the trade. I didn't know what to think of it for a long time, but given this last piece of data(datum), I'm feeling far more optimistic |

From last blog:
I think Larsson would be a good fit with McGinn and Gionta, certainly a better choice than having Reinhart there (as in i'd rather see him in the top 6 in one league or another).

most agree that Lehner for a first was a reach, but there's only so much room for prospects and draft picks...losing a bottom-third pick in the first round isn't detrimental to future success...
and in bagging on him for possibly missing out on a draft pick in "one of the deepest drafts in quite some time," kudos should be given him and his staff for picking guhle who looks to be a real good one - Michael Pachla

I think there's a possibility he plays wing on a second line, but I think it's more likely he plays 3C. And I would rather have him here as a 3C than in ROC |

I don't really like the idea of moving him to the wing but id much rather that then having him play 3C spending most of his time in the def. zone. He's got great playmaking ability, it'd be a shame to have it go to waste. |

3c's don't get 50+ points in their first full season. After that one game where he had 3 assists...he should be centering Kane and Ennis.

Well, if we can agree that his skating is not an impediment to his playing on the second line, then let's just agree he kills time at 2RW til Jack is ready to move up to 1C, then we'll move Samson into 2C.
LionEater can crush 3C until then, and move into 2RW to make room for Larsson. |

I've been saying the same thing for 2 years. He CAN play the left side if needed, always had the smart play in mind, is decent on the PP, and has a great attitude. Kind of like a 30-pound-lighter Zadorov...except for the smart play and great attitude parts. - LandlordTom
I've been a huge fan of his for quite some time as well. Really like the game he plays. I like too, that Murray told him he wanted to see him get into the offensive play more often. Kid has skills, he should use them.
He's going to be able to log big minutes if they need someone to do so. His skating is so effortless it'll allow him to be "the guy" when they need him to be. |

If you go back to the blog from the last Ottawa game, there's instructions on how to download a program called Kodi. I did it that night and it works great. |

He really does fly under the radar. Most people outside of Sabreland and this blog probably haven't heard of him. He is a former 1st round pick and captain of the Oil Kings. He's going to be a good one.....
