Drawing any kind of conclusions right now on McGinn or Lehner is absurd. Both are coming off of long-term injuries and are just getting up to speed.

Depends on who he's giving up. JVR or Kadri yea, thats dumb but if it's just lower tier prospects/picks and say bozak then it could be a decent move.

I think it would have to be Kadri or more for it to be worth it for the Devils. No way they are trading one of their few decent players for pieces. I guess I could see it for Kadri but certainly not for JVR.

He's gotten substantially worse since signing that long term deal. They may just be looking to get out of that deal.

Definitely, but Kadri is at best a second line center.

There is absolutely no reason to be starting the clock on Guhle right now. I don't care how good he looks - lets push off paying him for as long as we can. Also, it can only help his long-term development to leave him alone for a while.

IMO they should dress the 6 best d men in the organization

I don't hate the idea of McCabe. While I think he could benefit from another year in the A, I think he's got the skills he needs to make the jump now. It would also be great to put him with Pysyk and let them grow at the NHL level together. That could be a very good pairing for a very long time.

I agree with McCabe at a level he could play up as I am a huge McCabe fan, I have high hopes for him eventually. i also think it makes sense to unite him with Pysyk, I just think that is next year, or later this year. Give Pysyk time to adjust to the NHL while McCabe furthers his development in Rochester initially this season, would be good for both players.

I am thinking too many youngsters could slow the development of the team, ala Edmonton...bring them along more slower is better for the long term.
