Kunitz is having a strong camp and is looking awesome with Sid and kessel. At that cap hit, I'm not moving him unless he looks terrible for a consistent amount of time. If guys lik fleischman can get mid round picks, an underperforming Kunitz could still land a 2nd at the deadline.
I'd send scuderi down to the minors and let dumo, clendening,
And pouliot fight for the bottom pairing spots. It looks like lovejoy-Cole could be a 2nd pairing - drummer829
Yeah, if Kunitz plays like he did in the first half of last season before injury he'll be fine on the top line. I understand the concern with his age, but his cap hit is not bad. I'm willing to take the risk with him as well. |

No, once he goes to the CHL he has to stay until that team is eliminated from the CHL playoffs. - Dcoms
Yes the same as Duclair for the Rags last season - they were deliberating the same scenario but sent him down after the junior WC then traded his arse. Racists! |

I'll second that jfkst. he's up for a big season as he will be the invisible man on that line creating all sorts of havoc. |

Has the pens sent made any cuts yet? - nh4442
From today's P-G article, because the Pens play 3 games in 3 days (MTL today, TB tomorrow, and DET on Wednesday), they need a large list of personnel to play in all the games and at the same time not to over-task the star players thus risking injury. So the cuts won't happen until Wednesday. |

It's not that I don't like Kunitz, but I think they have the depth to survive with out him. I'm not so sure you can say the same thing with the D. Of course it's moot now. But I expected more from Pouliot than I'm seeing. Still early however. |

I have to say that while I generally dont want to get rid of Kunitz or think he is done....he has gotten off to great starts two years in a row and then fallen off a cliff as the season wore on.
So we need to hold off on any judgements on him at least until halfway through the season. And especially not put a lot of stock into the way he looks in preseason. |
