Sometimes it's lost on people that it takes 12 forwards to fill the roster, not six. Jensen can skate, he's got an NHL body and he's got a great shot, what's not to like about him in the bottom six?
Hansen was 22 when he first made it for a full season, last year was Vey's first year and he was 23, all is not lost for this kid if he has the wherewithall to succeed in a bottom six role. - LeftCoaster
You know what is also lost on some people? The fact that rosters aren't static. New players enter the organization every season whether drafted, traded for, picked off waivers.
The longer a prospect stays with an organization without being able to contribute on the big club the further they move down the depth chart.
You constantly state a player’s age and say "there's plenty of time for them to develop". I don't think age has anything to do with it. It's about the number of seasons playing pro hockey. Jensen's been playing pro hockey since 2011. He's played over 210 pro games and has yet to solidify himself within the organization. Every season he's had to 'reinvent' himself. It’s good to have patience but don’t let it cloud your vision.
This is a ‘show me now’ business. Not a halfway home for wayward hockey prospects. As far as I'm concerned Jensen's a lost cause. Hope the organization moves on.
EDIT: can't compare Hansen to Jensen. Jannik was drafted 287th overall. It's a miracle that he's playing pro hockey. |

yeeeaaaah...might have to digress on Higgins a bit. Pegged him for more like 5'11" at around 195. He is listed at 6' / 205 just can't see it... - LordHumungous
We had this conversation last year when you said the Canucks needed Horvats size and I said he's the same size as Higgins. |

A lot of truths in there for sure. That said, if Higgins and Hansen weren't signed to longish term deals with NTC's, Jensen would play this year considering the downward trend of the team.
If Jensen was in the right organization at the right time, I suspect he'd secure a bottom six spot. |

It might help Sbisa's confidence if you kept him around. |

I guess that's my point. He could play on a downward trend team. Great. He would be playing if fringe vets weren't on the roster.
I'm hoping JB creates an atmosphere where young guys are stealing jobs from aging vets and forcing management to waive or buy out these types of contracts regardless of the cost. |

I do too, we'll see in the next 12 months.
It's never as black and white as we make it out to be though, many many factors at play. |

I don't think Weber is the worst. He has some competition... Which makes me sad and happy at the same time. |

100% agree. We just break it down that way so us fans can debate. Way too complicated otherwise. Hell, I'm still trying to figure out the CBA... |

I said that if he can be a decent PP QB this year maybe a 3rd. Otherwise your right he is worthless and not even worth icing if he can't get some pp goal sin the first few games. |

Who cares if he doesn't get in office? I just want a minority govt in charge. When they have a majority govt they tend to screw the country up more. |
