What a bunch of clowns the rangers truly are. I've never seen so much dirty play in a preseason game. Kreider and Nash should be suspended |

I hate seeing Umberger wearing #20. - Jimmygrazz
I know, right. After Jiri Dopita no one should be allowed to wear 20. |

They really need a guy that can be an offensive force on Coots wing and they just don't have it. - hereticpride
Looks like the plan based on practice combos today is to try Schenn and Simmonds there. I think it's a good choice with the personnel available. |

I choose to believe that Porter going on the 1st line in today's practice means Raffl's injury is a minor one. |

I was thinking Trent Klatt, but Dopita works too. |

Preferably someone who can stay on their skates and possess the puck.
The kid I personally keep coming back to as a somewhat realistic trade target is Hertl. He's like Matt Read on steroids. - hereticpride
A guy they would be able to get cheap would be Magnus Paajarvi for a low-round pick. It could be a Ville Leino kind of move. He's got a lot of skill but just hasn't put it together. Give him a legit shot to form some chemistry on the 2nd line, and who knows, maybe he can get it going.
Of course they'd have to lose a player too in a separate move. |

He had a god-awful season last year though. |

And by "lose", you mean "plant oxys in his car on a cross border trip into Canada"? |

Read left ice early. Got banged up last night. Will get update.
Man. Whoever was praying for some bad juju for a couple defenseman really brought some karma to the forwards. |

Why is it that the Flyers keep getting 1st round picks / prospects that look good but then do something wild like blow a tire at the blue line when they're the last man back on an overtime 3-on-3? |

It was a bad play by Laughton, but his stick checking prevented a goal until the ref called his completely clean play a penalty and awarded a completely undeserved penalty shot |

I can't say it's a surprise, but it's disheartening how useless VLC looks out there. I'll be disappointed if they keep the "we're trying to get Vinny going" charade up once the games matter. - BulliesPhan87
Hindsight man. If it weren't for that back injury......

So far only Couturier, Raffl, Read, and Nuevirth are injured. Right on pace. |

That right there is the definition of rookie mistake. |

It seems as though if the defender is behind the player, you can't play stick on stick defense, in the NHL. Why is that a penalty if the arms or hands are not interfered with? |

Lots of players lack experience in playing 3 on 3 hockey. Expect to see more of that, even from veterans in the future. |

bill in your opinion what options do they really have with macdonald?
is a trade even possible at this point?
what would you do? - rinaldo
MacDonald is the only player I'd be willing to include a draft pick & retain Salary to not have on this team. |

hue of glasses aside, I'm looking ahead, not behind. Vinny isn't part of the equation if they intend to win games, the guy's toast. |
