Dropping the Erik Karlsson and Drew Doughty comparisons would be a good idea. Maybe start with D-Men who are not always in the Norris conversation.

Or just say Guhle is an exceptional skater and leave it at that.

You lose whatever shred of credibility you have left when you compare a guy who may get a 9-game tryout to the top skating defencemen in the league.

In my opinion, he is a better skater than Ottawa's Erik Karlsson. I's no slight to Karlsson who is one of the best skating D-men in the NHL. Guhle is a similar skater who is heavier on his edges. Where Karlsson tends to avoid contact, Guhle seeks it out. Guhle's skating stride is explosive and powerful. Think Drew Doughty. Yes, I said Drew Doughty. That's how great a skater Guhle is.
