They're not supposed to get out worked. They were miles away from being close to even on the work scale.

My favourite is that the only players that's ever true for are elite players....and duh! OV shooting 3% will correct itself, he's the best goal scorer of a generation. Jason Blake however...

I actually thought their defensive structure showed in the first (outside of the shortie).. I was not able to to watch the rest of the game, so not sure if it broke down after that. However, in the first they showed good puck support in the D zone and between the blue lines. Their issue is still that no matter what they do, they are a 1 and done offensive team. They can't sustain any pressure what so ever, and thus no goals.

Randy Carlyle had it right , the only way this collection of players can be competitive is to run and gun. Babcock also knows this but he will coach them to "play the right way" , knowing full well they will fail and be in the lottery for Matthews. That is the plan and I agree with it.

funny how 1 coach who "coached the right way" pretty much had his career destroyed, while the other one will be the highest paid NHL coach for the foreseeable future. Well maybe until Quinville's contract expires...maybe.

the leafs had 7 players in the Lineup last night that were on the team when RC was coach. 2/3 of the team is different.

Yes he was, and it's not surprised that eichel beat him. Jack is a fantastic skater and Browns biggest knock has been his skating.
