Nylander by himself is better than Eichel.
Easy 'no' from the Maple Leafs.

Why do we want a low scoring borderline NHL center. We're already jammed up at center. |

Is that why Eichel scored a SHG and Nylander missed a wide open net? - HonkFortheGoose
To be fair, Eichel disappeared after that shorty.
Didn't hear much from him the remainder of the game after that 1st period goal.
Granted I watched an edited version of the game on NHL network but I barely noticed him after that shorty, my wife even asked where he was, if he was injured or something.
Without homer glasses on, I suggest you watch the game back to grasp reality.
Then I watched swiss cheese have a few pucks just hit him (in the 3rd period) because of positioning (and please spare me goaltending is all about positioning, I know, I played the position in organized leagues and got shutouts in soccer nets as a youth) but on a few of those that hit swiss cheese, he had no idea where the puck was.
I know I know, at least the puck didn't make it through one of them holes.
Never seen a shutout so unimpressive to be fair.
As I said to CR yesterday, i'll give it 20 regular season games before I really come down on some of Murray's choices/decisions or who knows, I may have to give him credit on some.

Apparently him and Ryan O'Reilly are the best of friends so maybe Ryan O'Reilly asks them to get him |

You gotta say nobody when you factor in salary and age. I think that is why (if the rumors were true) we should not have moved him for Stamkos. He should be at least as good as Stamkos in a year or two and we will have him on the cheap for many years. |

He's a rookie there will be times where he perhaps isn't as lethal or gets caught out of position. I thought he looked pretty good all game. Not dominating for all of it but lots of smart plays and set ups. I'm beyond excited to see what he can do in the reg season |

I'd take a chance on either one, have they officially been put on waivers yet? Their teams may just trade them instead |

That's only because you hate tim and everything he does
If Ted Nolan was the GM and he did the draft you would be praising the Lord and God about him every day |

Ya know, last time I checked, you were the one giving all of us a hard time last year because you couldn't believe people wanted the team to lose.
Now, the shoe seems to be on the other foot. You're openly hoping this team falls flat on it's face.
Do us all a favor, don't even remotely try and call yourself a Sabre Fan, because you are 100% not even close right now.
And to be quite honest, the person who needs to grasp reality around here, is you. You seem to think that Eichel should be out there dominating for the whole game. Well, guess what. That's not how it works. I guess Edmonton must be really upset with how McDavid has performed in the preseason then, because he only has 4 assists. 0 goals. They must have made a mistake in picking him.

Straight up? Absolutely no one. I could come up with a hell of a package though that any opposing fan would dismiss before even finishing reading it. |

Agreed. That's not to say that a guy like Crosby isn't currently better than Eichel. The reason I wouldn't want to do a trade like that is because you're giving up a lot of years of service that way. Crosby has already been in the league for 10 years. Eichel is just starting out. |
