I get that, but to make a statement like Yandle to buffalo when Yandle was HUGE the second half of NYR season seems farfetched. I mean if you have a source I can see im all about it. But otherwise it's hearsay to me. I could easily say " I have a high up executive in the organization" but what does that really mean? Nothing. It's small talk

Good faith request for an advisory opinion:

Under appropriate circumstances, is hippo flatulence acceptable?

- Der Kaiser

Is there any actual poop involved? Because while it's possible a male hippo may be called a bull (I haven't looked it up), flatulence isn't quite poop, so on a technicality...

Some have been here long enough too know if 89 just posts.. "talking about Yandle" means the brass is interested in getting Yandle and discussing it. Doesn't mean anything more. His record is good enough too at least raise an eyebrow instead of calling BS.

Cold enough here today that some women downtown would have been caught off guard by the cool breeze. Could in fact emphasize some extremities .

He didn't actually say "yandle to buffalo" just that their were talks. it's only hearsay to you if you haven't read a lot of his posts over the last year or so. Moulson, O'Reilly, Kane...89 has been on top of all of that. When you nail several big moves like that it becomes much more than just hearsay.
- Sabresfan-365

By all means please do not think I'm trying to be rude. And he could very well have good sources. You just have to question everything people put out. I apologize if I came off being arrogant but that was something I've never heard or seen on the radar with this team. I've heard multiple names being thrown around. Yandle is a name I've heard 0 about. Hence why I questioned it and asked for a source

On top of that this isn't the first time Yandle's name was mentioned to Buffalo.

Just like it wasn't the first time ROR's name and Kane's name was mentioned coming here.

As you have said in the past

First of all, it was a question. Second, not a single person here said Yandle to Buffalo is an E5. It's been stated that it was simply a trade discussion. Buffalo calling NY to see if he could be available. That's all this rumor is. You're taking it way too seriously, back down soldier.

Or it may not happen at all. NY could hang up the phone, but a message like that is just what it was thrown out as: information

I got my Cabin long weekend this weekend at ASP. Figured it will be as cold, poopty and wet as possible. Won't stop the beers from going down nice though.

I am just curious whether you guys have a guess as to what the Sabres would give up in order to acquire Yandle. Obviously, he becomes an Unrestricted Free Agent at year's end, so the Sabres would have to have some comfort that they would be able to re-sign him.

From the Rangers perspective, they gave up a lot for him, they are cash strapped, and his cap hit is gold this year, so I am assuming that the Sabres would really have to make a substantial offer to acquire him. But, is Yandle going to give up being an UFA at year's end to sign with Buffalo?

It seems, based upon the credibility of the source, that there have been communications. It just seems to me that there are a lot of factors that would make a deal for Yandle hard to complete. You never know, however. Definitely interesting.

Good luck this year, should be a fun team to watch.

Love going to ASP this time of year. Usually go closer to the end of October though. It's always interesting to see what the weather is like. There have been years where we've gotten snow while there and others where we're wearing shorts and tshirts.

Good weekend to get it in though, since hockey season doesn't kick off until Wednesday.

(see what I did there?)

I think that's what we're scared of as fans though, what the price would be. I can't imagine it would be cheap. Rangers are still a top team, he has a chance at a big run again this season, and his cap hit is minuscule. They likely would need to be blown away by an offer, and I'm not sure what that would take.
