I am just curious whether you guys have a guess as to what the Sabres would give up in order to acquire Yandle. Obviously, he becomes an Unrestricted Free Agent at year's end, so the Sabres would have to have some comfort that they would be able to re-sign him.
From the Rangers perspective, they gave up a lot for him, they are cash strapped, and his cap hit is gold this year, so I am assuming that the Sabres would really have to make a substantial offer to acquire him. But, is Yandle going to give up being an UFA at year's end to sign with Buffalo?
It seems, based upon the credibility of the source, that there have been communications. It just seems to me that there are a lot of factors that would make a deal for Yandle hard to complete. You never know, however. Definitely interesting.
Good luck this year, should be a fun team to watch. - Pete V
My guess would be that a trade would have to be contingent upon him signing a deal here. Perhaps a sign and trade? I don't think he'd be opposed to coming here, based on the fact that the team is on the upswing, so that could help.
The Rangers could probably get a lot more for him if they do it that way. Otherwise, I don't see anyone breaking the bank to get him. Too risky since he could walk at the end of the year.

My guess as to what the asking price would be has to be something like a roster player a pick and a prospect
As GMTM has shown he isn't scared to deal picks and prospects (it does need to stop eventually though).
Larsson, a 2nd and Baptiste maybe? Who knows. I know Yandle has a very good cap hit for the Rangers and they gave up a lot for him as well.
As far as acquiring him my guess is if the trade is done he will be extended. Would I do it? Maybe.
But thanks, they should be a lot of fun to watch!!

Good God I hope not!! I think Baptiste could look real nice in our top 6. |

Love going to ASP this time of year. Usually go closer to the end of October though. It's always interesting to see what the weather is like. There have been years where we've gotten snow while there and others where we're wearing shorts and tshirts.
Good weekend to get it in though, since hockey season doesn't kick off until Wednesday.
(see what I did there?) - HonkFortheGoose
I see that
We do a family trip (wives and kids) late spring and a fall trip with just dudes. I want to go later in October but some of my friends(not all) are wimps.
So I'm sitting here in the waiting room at Delta Sonic on main st and Zemgus is in here. |

If he projects out of course he would look good but I think Bailey fits better just my personal opinion on them.
But I think that's a package that would take to get Yandle if you're not moving the 1st round pick. |

If you go up and say Hi he'll probably shake your hand and stuff. He's a nice guy. We bumped into him during the prospect tournament. |

I get that, but to make a statement like Yandle to buffalo when Yandle was HUGE the second half of NYR season seems farfetched. I mean if you have a source I can see im all about it. But otherwise it's hearsay to me. I could easily say " I have a high up executive in the organization" but what does that really mean? Nothing. It's small talk - Acup2buff
First of all I never said Yandle to Buffalo, I mentioned before the Sabres were interested in Yandle at the deadline last year. You shouldn't say it's all " hear say " because you don't know who I know. I've been right countless times before and also been wrong so calm down. |

I want San Diego's weather. But I don't want to live in San Diego.
There isn't a close enough hockey team for my liking. |

Well, I think the agent would be contacted to see if Yandle would have an interest in signing with Buffalo. So with that regard, someone's going to be paying him 5-6 million. If TM thinks he can fit into this system with another guy like him in Franson (more physical, less offensively talented) then sure, it would be a good idea.
As far as value, NY would want a young capable defender and picks to replace him. You guys have Brady Skeij, Petr Zamorsky Dylan McIlrath and Ryan Graves ready to jump in and replace Boyle and/or Yandle in the next year or two, so receiving a defensive prospect might not be totally necessary. I think we could offer our 2nd rounder, a goalie prospect and one of our wing prospects.

Anna Maria Island is heaven on earth.
Also, Bavarro in the Dominican.
AMI is only about a half hour away from the BOLTS, but I'd still prefer to be closer to the Sabres.

Thank you, when i'm right, i'm right and when i'm wrong I have no problem say I was wrong. They have been interested in Yandle for sometime now, just don't know as of yet if the Rangers are willing to move him. They have other pieces to sign but still may end up keeing Yandle.
I was right on Franson, I said 3 year deal for less money and a 2 yr deal for more, he took the 2 year deal. |

Once again, I really do want to hear your opinion on the team thus far. |

Being close to the Sabres is something I'd like to remain as well. However, I'm not sure I can tolerate the snow too much longer here. I guess we'll have to wait and see how this winter goes.
If it's anything like that last 2 years, I'm out. I will actively look for something in a warmer climate and will have to deal with the fact that in order to see the Sabres live, I either have to see them at an out of town game or will have to wait until I come to Buffalo to visit family and friends. |

Promise? - Der Kaiser
Chained down against this concrete floor
promise...
I can’t...
They scream, covering distant laughter
Pulsating sensations coursing within
Built up bursting flames
Look around to find one soul
Choked sobs are always shouting
The blinding light is forever dark
All alone without mercy
Infected wounds constantly bleeding
Quiet words that are loudly spoken
Silent pleads
Evil spirit claim thee
No more forgotten pain or lingering poison
Instigated reason of blocked feeling
Stay here, don’t leave
Breathe in these deadly fumes
Stale smoke floods these lungs
Gradual ascension broken by awakening blows
Holding back malevolent tears
Sit still as fear settles, picking you apart
Enough games!
Rise again
Fragile frame with an unknown name
Carry on and burn true
Tread lightly and live long
Fight hard and release temptation
But promise....
I can't. |
