Only problem is Vrbata would cry that he doesn't know his line mates. His heart is set on Bo - VANTEL
I still think Hansen can help the team. He's got speed, grit, great on the forecheck and the PK and he's cost effective. I'm not sure what the rush to push him out he door is, to be honest.

Markstrom with a weak one there...is it me or does Jonathan Toews sound like he's handicapped in the Canadian Tire commercial that's been on 15 times??

Hansen is ok as he is pretty versatile over all four lines...for now. His fate with the team will rest on TDL. Very very streaky though and might not score for 3 months at a time like Bonino. But more versatile.

There was a time when you watched HNIC and all you got was canadian tire and esso adds with an occasional Hinterland's Who's Who.

Especially since there's a slight chance that Benning may replace him with a worse/more expensive player.

But you need guys like that. It's his versatility combined with his cap hit, which provides even more versitility, that makes him so valuable. And unlike a young player, which is what I assume you would be replacing him with, his cap hit will stay more or less static which provides a little bit of certainty. Any offence is just gravy.

On a team with a legit 2nd line, no one complains about Hansen, they all love him.
