Equating a bar fight to a game is a bit far fetched... I can grasp the concept of someone having your back, but have their back when something bad happens, not this unnecessary machismo in sports where everything requires a "message" be sent.

"Oh man, I just took a check. What has hockey turned into? I sure hope my bros come to my defense, this is getting to be too much for me after 15-ish years of playing this game!"
