This was going to happen no matter what. Sure it was obvious moves had to be made, but even if we stayed the course, we would have made massive imorvements. We were drafting Reinhart and Eichel, with or without Tim Murray, this was ownerships plan, not Murray's - sbroads24
To be clear, I have never said that I love all his moves because TM is smart. I simply choose to remain positive about what has been done because:
1 We are way better now than last year
2 #1 was made even more true by TM's moves (not just by drafting Eich + Rhino)
3 I can't do a damn thing about it, so why cry and moan about the moves I find questionable?
4 As many have said, repeatedly, I would rather have top-end talent AND a kick-butt prospect pool to boot, than a perpetually good prospect pool and little top-end NHL players coming from it. |

1. We should be way better, we don't know how much better yet
2. Yea, I give him credit, it took trading 3 hot goalies, but we got Eichel
3. I'm far from crying about it. I'm just not going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He chose to blow his wad this offseason. What people don't really realize is this is pretty much it. We don't have the assets to make another big slash, and pretty damn soon our cap space will be gone.
I am positive we will be a very good team someday, but that was going to happen no matter what. It's Murray's job to take it to the next level. We will see if that happens |

Angry is a strong word. I'm just not going to all of the sudden change my mind about it because Tim Murray knows more than me.
99.99% of the fan base would have thought the trade was a bad idea before it happened. 90% of the national media ripped it when it happened.......and with Lehner looking very bad, it hasn't swayed my opinion. - sbroads24
21st picks don't give me a woody like many on here. If you see the stats many 18 year old 21st picks overall do not always hit the mark. I can let it go and see how Lehner plays before the sky falls. |

Not sure when HBSL rosters need set folks, but if you're in it, get them done. |

The Sabres were going to be way better with Myers, Zadorov, Grigorenko, and Armia instead of Kane, & O'Reilly?
I'm going to go ahead and disagree with that thought.
I believe the most underrated move Murray made was trading Myers and Stafford for nothing that came back to help the roster.
With how close the standings were for the bottom spot, that move he made really helped their chances much more than I ever would have guessed. |

Victor Olofsson gets a goal + assist today as MODO falls to FBK 4-3 in OT. Olofsson is MODO's leading point-getter thru six games with 2+5. |
