I think Brayden Schenn is playing LW again w/ Simmer on the right. When Coots gets back could that line get a look? Hmmm. Hakstol keeps pairing Laughton with Read -- maybe just by injury necessity, maybe bc he likes that combo. If Read were going to play LW with Coots and Simmer, you'd think they'd have kept those two together with Schenn RW for Laughton.

Yes he is. From radio broadcast sounds like it at least. I've said before if Brayden can play left wing I really like that line to help coots develop offensively.

I think read is a great shut down 2 way player with Laughton that would be a very nice security blanket on his wing. I wouldn't mind read Laughton umberger in a defensive first role. I don't like Gagner on his wing. The more I think about this line up I have Gagner Vinny eating popcorn

Laughton and read are also a PK unit together.

Manning sticking up for teammate gets a roughing minor. Kind of drawn into it. Rookie mistake. Overall sounds like he's had a descent game.

Tbh it seems more like they're giving Gudas and Manning some minutes since they probably won't be seeing steady time for a while.

They took Macdonald
We don't give up higher than an extra 3rd rounder
We keep all core d prospects plus konecky and our core roster players are not touched

So yeah they want to do that deal I'm all for it

Had a 59 second pp to end overtime we did nothing with.

I wouldn't be against it because Phaneuf gives you a better chance at improving. Plus he would look decent with the prospects we have coming. However, I'm not facing this deal because Matt Read could be apart of the solution here in philly.
