Who?
Burrows in unmovable
Higgins is hurt
Vey is young enough that they won't cut bait just yet
Who is it you have in mind? - Bieksa#3
Vey will pass through waivers. |

Vey(Hansen is flat out better)
Prust(I like him against physical teams, but I'll take Hansen over him)
Burrows(I'd waive him before trading Hansen for a 3rd)
Sutter(Mainly because of the contract)
Higgins(Hansen is a younger/faster Higgins basically) |

Biega - A_SteamingLombardi
I've liked Biega, but yeah he's a safe bet to clear waivers and not a long-term piece. |

Vey will pass through waivers. - Marwood
I think he should
but i think some other team will pick him up.... but i think they'll end up being as equally disappointed.
He's just not good enough. great skill, but lacks any kind of engine, strength or speed. |

You'd rather eat 3.6 mill per of burrows then trade Hansen? You have to be trolling. (frank) contract aside burrows is a better player and its not close |

My issue with Virtanen is consistency. - Bieksa#3
He stil has a lot of learning to do. I would love to see him up but me thinks he may be sent down. |

They need a spot on the NHL roster this year to pick him up. The team that picks him up can't send him down this year |

I bet about 4 teams would try and pick him up. |

He wouldn't be the first 23 year old 10 goal scorer to end up in the AHL/Europe for most of his career. Especially considering that he isn't great defensively and gets pushed around. |

Vantel had Vey's back last season but with the emergence of much better youth coming up I doubt he will be crying at his loss. I think he will get a lot better but others are just playing to well. |

He still has some upside, but the odds are that he ends up as a tweener at this point. It wouldn't be the end of the world if they gave him a few regular season games before deciding if he's worth keeping but if it means not giving McCann a regular season look then I'm against it. |

He is worth fixing. I bet a team like Detroit or St Louis would do quite well with him. He would be a fit on both team. |

I don't really care what happens or who is in the line-up. I just want to start watching hockey again. Young guys old guys, who cares, let's drop the puck. |

Vey won't be a bad hockey player given more time. I really don't want to lose him but the current environment dictates otherwise. |
