He is worth fixing. I bet a team like Detroit or St Louis would do quite well with him. He would be a fit on both team.

He still has some upside, but the odds are that he ends up as a tweener at this point. It wouldn't be the end of the world if they gave him a few regular season games before deciding if he's worth keeping but if it means not giving McCann a regular season look then I'm against it.
- Nucker101

My opinion is Vey is the 13th forward right now. If McCann or Virtanen are sent back after 9 games then he gets another shot

Vey(Hansen is flat out better)
Prust(I like him against physical teams, but I'll take Hansen over him)
Burrows(I'd waive him before trading Hansen for a 3rd)
Sutter(Mainly because of the contract)
Higgins(Hansen is a younger/faster Higgins basically)

- Nucker101

Sutters contract isn't all that bad, when sedins go our young centers are going to need a mentor Sutter will be fine at that, plus his contract wont be that noticeable once all the old guys on the roster will be gone.

I don't really care what happens or who is in the line-up. I just want to start watching hockey again. Young guys old guys, who cares, let's drop the puck.

I think this will be the case. Its hard to lose a decent young player. Tough pill to swallow. McCann and Virtanen really have to show they belong in those 9 games.

I see a good shut down line of Sutter Hansen and Burrows. Nucker forgets team need D.

I think Sutter had a good game last night . Most of his shifts are in the offensive zone

The guy looks soft as hell, good defensive players don't lose puck battles as much as he does.

Sutter > Burrows, Vey, Higgins, Hansen, Dorsett, Prust, Cracknel
Horvat,Mccann (possibly/probably), Austin Matthews > Sutter

All im saying is once sedins are gone don't wanna pull an Edmonton and have all young centers. In 5-6 years depending how the market goes Sutter could be a steal or overpayment, yes time will tell, I think itll work for the better then worse

WD hasn't really put any solid lines together. Chemistry and timing is still being sought. 3 or 4 real games we see a better Sutter.

He hasn't been bad. Nucker makes him out as -15 player in the preseason.

He didn't like the signing and has pouting like an 8 year old spoiled girl every day

Haven't you been listening all summer, it's not about chemistry, it's about contracts.

No way.

23 yr old 15 goal scorer? No chance

- Bieksa#3

Small and can't crack a line-up starved for offense. Other teams doing the roster shuffle as well. He might get claimed but I doubt it.
