Who the hell takes 5 or 6 hours to get drunk?
- thundachunk

I'm sure as hell not gonna start while I'm still sitting at home doing nothing. That sounds depressing.

Small and can't crack a line-up starved for offense. Other teams doing the roster shuffle as well. He might get claimed but I doubt it.

You have to drink before going out drinking. If not you'll pull a middle or something

Otherwise your pre drinking bill goes from 20$ to 200$.

He hasn't been bad. Nucker makes him out as -15 player in the preseason.

He didn't like the signing and has pouting like an 8 year old spoiled girl every day

Which sparked the love connection between him & Bingo.

Haven't you been listening all summer, it's not about chemistry, it's about contracts.

More or less depressing than your take on this team?

The thing about Vey is he is ok. Our young guys surprised us and surpassed him. I don't think anyone projected him as great ever , we were hoping for decent. He is decent . We. Have only so many roster spots available and to award them to the best players. Gaunce JV , McCann Grenier Sven have all passed Vey. Next year Shink Cassels Jensen and Boeser will be pressing for spots plus our first round pick.

If TO picked him up well God bless the patience of their fan base . They have picked up a few Canuck rejects over the last few years and that didn't work out well so what is one more shot.

Vey being moved has as much relevance and even less than trading our back up goalie or problem child Kassian.

A lot of fuss about little

Let the kids play, it's what the fans want. Virt and McCann will be sent back to jr after their 9 games unless they really impress. Hutton and Gaunce can come and go as needed. I really hope we see a trade 4 weeks in to make some permanent room for younger players. Do the people that complained about not resigning Matthius and Richardson still want those players on this team now?

I'm glad the the fans arent running the team. I trust that JB and TL will do what's best for the organisation as a whole, not the fan base for one season where the team is in transition.

In order to keep Hutton on the opening roster, you have to expose an asset to waivers (likely Corrado as YW's shot is needed on the PP). Injuries are inevitable and at some point you'll need a guy like Hutton to come in and play top 4 minutes. He should then be ready to take Hammer's spot when he gets traded.

I think it's fair to say Kenins won't be on any canucks team good enough to make the conf. finals so I'm fine exposing him, but I disagree about letting Vey go for nothing. He's an RFA and JB paid the same price to acquire him as he did SB. I trust that the organisation knows him better than the fanbase and think he makes an ideal 14th F.

If you only keep one kid it has to be JM. He can start on the 4th line and move up if there's an injury up the middle. I think he gains more from playing pro than JV.

On the subject of JV... send him back and tell him to dominate junior hockey for a year. I would rather have him spending the year lifting weights and working with the puck to get him ready for next year when there's an obvious top 6 spot for him.

There's an obvious top 6 spot because Vrbata has to go at the deadline. We've got some good kids but we don't have enough and we need RV to score 30 so he brings back a 1st rd pick.

I wish you guys would realize that no matter what happens, even IF the canucks make the playoffs, this team is dead in the water this year. Dont put unnecessasry pressure on the kids to perform when you have established vets who can take the load off for another year.

I don't think Vrbata has to go anywhere at the deadline. If the right deal comes along and we are in a selling position and not a buying then yes but I would say its a given. Too unload a 30 goal scorer just because his contract is up is silly. If he has 30 by the deadline I don't see him going anywhere.

I think he should go regardless, reason one, next year we will not win the stanely cup its a given, so why slow down the rebuild on the fly by not trading expired contracts.
Reason two is vrbata was invisible in the playoffs last year

What if we are in a solid playoff position. I don't see management willing to unload if he is still a major contributor at the time. Everyone seems to have pretty low odds for the Canucks this season. I'm still on the bubble until the end of November. Willie and CO. have some serious work ahead.
