I am both puzzled and concerned with the Canucks lineup.
I am 100% in favour of having both McCann, Virtanen, and Hutton on the team. Benning and Linden talked about stacking a younger team against opponents, and having these three on the roster with Baertschi, Horvat, and Bartkowski does exactly that. However, it puzzles me why Cracknell is still on the roster. I don't even know why the Canucks signed him. He has 5 seasons under his belt, with no more than 24 GP in a single season, and a season high point total of 8 points. He was a 9th? round draft pick with potential offensive upside to go with his size. He was an all-star in the WHL with the Kootenay Ice, but that was 10 years ago. Cracknell is an AHL player or depth player on a weak NHL team.
Lastly, the 2nd line of Baertschi - Horvat - Vrbata is an amazing combination. However, it leaves the question of where to put Sutter. He was signed as centreman and is being played on the wing with with the Sedins. If he doesn't play wing, he is looking at 3rd or 4th line centre duties, depending on where McCann slides in.

I kind of think baertschi would be a good fit on the sedins line. Seems like he'd fit well on their cycle. But that line would get pushed around a lot.

They let the Sedins get the puck 3 on 3. - CubanBuffet
Best part was how the Oilers players on the ice were talking about strategy for a good 2 minutes before the puck dropped then the Sedins just light them up in seconds.

Team played well thru the first period but kinda coasted after that. Miller, Edler and Horvat all played well....Sutter probably had his best game, which isn't saying much.

Goodbye, Jared, sweet prince.
Hello, Linden, you little nerd. - Nucker101
McCann, Virtanen and Hutton get at least 9 games. We'll go from there.

wouldn't be a bad thing to get a year under his belt.
But he's held his own pretty good. Ahead of baertschi, and if playing sheltered minutes can still drive people nuts banging away. - numbear
(frank) off dude. Baerstchi looks good. The trade is done, stop coming here and putting him down. You are (frank)ing trolling and will be banned if you keep it up.
First game I've watched this season of Vancouver. Definitely have some promising young players. Interesting seeing Sutter at wing because Pens fans were always curious how he would play there. He'd score 20+ on the Sedins line. Not sure it would be in the team's best interest though.
