I bought an 11.99 bottle of Malbec today when there was a perfectly good bottle for 7.99 right beside it. I feel so materialistic

I think he was worth 2.75 but I don't think he is worth 5 mil, but I also don't think Milleris worth 6 mil. The good thing is it is only 2 years so I don't get pissed off
- VANTEL

Thats about right. Money aside I would take Miller over Lack.

An interesting poll would be who do Canucks fans prefer, lack or Markstom?

I'd take Markstom all day long. Cheaper, younger and starter upside. I don't believe Lack is a No1

yep.

Personally I don't think Miller is worth 6mil and I think Lack isn't worth 2.75. But at this point I would take Miller over Lack.

There's some good reds to be had, but you got to search them out. With a few exceptions, the best reds come from as far south as possible.

For sure. I spent a week in the pocket desert a few years back and found some gems.

Miller ain't worth 6 mil and Lack aint worth 2.75. Miller can still flirt with 40 wins regardless of his numbers so his stock will be a bit higher. Markstrom will basically surpass them both this season with the right combination of starts.

We can only hope, with the team we have, Markstrom may get hung out to dry on more than one occasion.

Anyone watching Leafs, Wings couple of good hits there, and like we were discussing a couple weeks ago, great legal pasting on Holland and everyone on the leafs wants to fight. IMO, there should be an extra penalty created for fighting after a legal hit.

If memory serves the 2009 vintages were maturing at the time and the '09 Meritage from Burrowing Owl was outstanding. The '08 Cab Sauv and the 2010 Cab Franc from Burrowing Owl deserve mention too. Super expensive here in AB but I bought quite a bit in BC. Stoneboat and Fairview had some excellent Pinot Noirs at the time but the value buy (for me) was the Nk'Mip Cellars Merlot 2009. Something about that year and it stood out. Cheap grape yes I know but that crop yield and vintage was exceptional IMO. Jackson Triggs also grew Shiraz in that region and around 2006 vintage (I think) they beat out a whole whack of top end Australian Shiraz' that really never lose the awards. I snagged 3 bottles to share with my Mom (before she passed) and it's funny the memories that surround those 3 bottles of wine. I was actually extremely lucky to come across them. I was visiting on Van Island at the time and was reading the article on the Westjet flyer how this local wine was winning all these awards...low and behold I get off the plane in Comox and hit a liquor store in Courtenay and they had three bottles of it...bought 'em all.

I can't afford to sniff the cork on Burrowing Owl, let alone purchase a case of bottles, you must have dropped quite a few hundred on that trip.

Yeah I liked the first two picks a lot. Didn't know much about the late round guys but Neill is off to a nice start.

Still think the rich got richer since I loved the Jets and Isles drafts. Flames and Leafs also got good value.
