Exciting to see the kids make the lineup and while I'm surprised mgmt was willing to risk Corrado and Vey, can't say at all that Hutton and McCann didn't deserve a shot.
I like the addition of Cracknell if we are going with a retro 4th line and he also earned his spot.
As much as I have been critical of some of Benning's moves, ( openly as well Marwood )I also have said he has shown he has no problems cutting a player loose if they didn't perform to his expectations.
Coraddo and Vey , if they are unclaimed, will go a long way in stabilizing the lineup in Utica.

Apparently he just got placed in the substance abuse program and is suspended without pay. Looks like we got a smokiing deal in Prust. |

Can I ask why you chose to keep the cheapest guy off the canucks list but not for the rest of the team? |

I'll admit, I don't pay attention to any rumours but clearly he needs to figure out some things in his life. Hope him all the best.
I still think Prust is a bordeline NHLer at this point and think that his salary and spot could be filled differently but I do admit Benning made a good move in removing Kassian from our team. |

Exactly, Utica will need the skill set these 2 should bring, and it gives both players a wake up call that they didn't perform the way they needed to.
There could be a whole different line up in 3 weeks time, so take advantage of your opportunities when presented |

It is a one year solution for Prust. |

And unlike Kassian, Prust could be flipped for a pick at TDL, 3rd or 4th depending on how he plays and whats being sold at the time. |

Sorry. So you can sub Hutton at $896,000 cap hit for Bartkowski at $1,750,000 or Weber at $1,500,000. Which one? |

@BradZiemer: Kassian enters Stage 2 of NHL/NHLPA substance abuse/behavioral health program. Assume that means he went thru Stage 1 while with #Canucks.
And this is why the Kassian trade looked bad when it went down. GMs knew well about his problems. We really don't know everything. Maybe Benning doesn't just randomly add picks to deals. Now what was the issue with Bonino? |

It's sad that this is a cap ceiling roster though, even with a few ELC's on the team - Nucker101
When Burrows, Vrbata, Prust, Dorsett, Sutter are gone the cap situation will look much better |

I think we should all complain some more here about Benning getting fleeced.
Otherwise this summer was a complete waste of time. |
