I thought players claimed in preseason had to stay up all season?
- Retinalz

No, he can be sent down, but he would have to clear waivers again.

Bold prediction...

Within 2 weeks the Leafs waive him to send him down and he is claimed by the Canucks, who have to replace Sbisa because he sustained a season ending knee injury on a low hit by Bieksa (just what Sbisa was doing behind the Anaheim net no one knows)

Naive to think #Canucks made decision on Corrado based only on 2 wks. As with Lack, they were likely less smitten than others.

Lots of teams passed on Corrado. Leafs love Canucks sloppy seconds, I wouldn't be too concerned over Corrado being claimed, he wasn't very good at hockey. Nothing in his game stood out.

These radio jackasses are too tough to listen to.

If Higgins is placed on LTIR he can't play again until November, perhaps he's closer to a return then people think...

What's the freaking big deal about a "right shot" player. It's like they are some kind of rarity. I shoot right and no one is considering me as a UFA.

Not so say esteemed Canuck bloggers. Also asset management is apparently a big thing.

@RobTheHockeyGuy: #Leafs claim Corrado off waivers after a terrible job of asset management by #Canucks

Exactly. Just because he shoots right, a muffin shot I might add, doesn't make him a rarity. Botchford is going nuts, and people feed off his bulpoop.

Sbisa Sucks

He is an AHL'er making over 3 million a season.

Another stupid comment by a guy that probably has never played hockey.

Well...he told us how much better Jesse blacker was...

BTW I though corrado wouldn't be claimed? You were finally right when you stated he would be waived. It's nice to have the old nucker back now the corrado got claimed

It is pretty entertaining though. Linden and Benning dumped the kid because they likely believe he isn't any better than Biega. He was likely behind Subban, Pedan and Brisbouis in the 2-3 year plan as well. Number 8 dman are always available on waivers or on the farm team. Asset management lol

It would have been nice to retain him for organizational depth but I doubt anyone will car/remember this in 2-3 years.

It's pretty tough to fit the heartfelt sentiment into less then 140 characters. There's probably more about his feelings on Instagram #noplacelikehome #gratefulforthechanceinvancouver #lifesgreatadventures #humble #goingtoworkmybuttoff

Shocking. You believe this defense has enough physicality?

Edler-tanev
Hamhuis-Bart
Corrado-weber

That's just embarrassing. Sure Sbisa is extremely frustrating to watch some times but every dman needs somebody to punish opponents. Without Sbisa forwards could cruise around the offensive zone without having to keep their head up. They could also screen Miller without even receiving a mild cross check in the back. What kind of player were/ are you?

Absolutely. I'm sure they would prefer to have kept him and I suspect they tried a trade but the Leafs knew they could get him for free.
