Buffalo’s defensemen included Josh Gorges, Rasmus Ristolainen, Mike Weber, Cody Franson, Carlo Colaiacovo, Mark Pysyk, Jake McCabe and Matt Donovan. The team will start the season with Robin Lehner and Chad Johnson as their goaltenders.


Looks like Reinhart, Larsson, and McCabe made it. Donovan though = total shocker.

He never had injury issues in college. He's been unlucky, and on a team with bad QB play.

In hindsight, maybe we should have taken Beckham, but Sammy absolutely is right up there if they actually throw him the football

Him being banged up all last year with Kyle freaking Orton as his QB and he almost put up 1000 yard season.

I really don't know what to tell you. He missed his first career game last week.
He still averages 15 yards a catch and hasn't had a consistent QB in his career. If Taylor stays the starting QB (I really hope so at this point) and he doesn't produce then you can talk about him not playing to his potential. But he owned Revis last year. His stat sheet didn't show it but that's mostly because of the QB play. Watch the All-22 and he consistently beat Revis all game long.

Or if you would have listened to what many posters were saying...they played the most vanilla defense possible to see what they had in the kid and not to jump to conclusions. Remember all those franchise QB's we had in the preseason? It doesn't matter until the games do...

I thought Donovan had a pretty good game in the last pre season game. He kept it simple and got some pucks through from the point. He even picked up an assist, I think. Up until then though he was meh.

Sammy has sort of been unlucky. Last year he was the only weapon on this team anyone game planned for. This year should be different with Clay, Harvin and McCoy. We will see. I was angry they didn't throw him the ball week 1. Week 2 Taylor sucked until the 4th quarter and Sammy had success. Week 3 started great and he got hurt
