Odd not seeing players like Ellis, Kaleta, Scott, Mccormick as our 3rd-4th liners. Who ever will we use at this seasons useless player ?

Im no fancy math guy, but girgensons and foligno are average or below average possession players, or am I wrong? based on their hero chart information

Both. Yea they were probably below average last year but the fact is below average on last years sabres is quite the accomplishment. Most of the fancy stats guys had to adjust the x/y axis of their charts to get their stats.

So they're going after Trent Richardson when Bradshaw is way better am I missing something here

I like the fact that there is 7 guys fighting for the bottom 6, creates healthy competition. I would rather see Larsson on the 3rd line with Reinhart and Girgs and put Foligno/DesLauriers/Legwand on the 4th and McGinn the extra forward. Lots of options here.

I didn't think it would change. I guess with a new coaching staff you never know, but I never even assumed that it was a possibility he wouldn't be.

If you go back a few pages you'll see some that I've been getting for about a week in my Dynasty league. The guys in that league must think I'm an idiot or something.

It's not that. It's more or less fishing. Every so often, the other person fires back a proposal and talks happen. Sometimes, though, they think they can play you.

I know in my league we all know each other very well (I actually predicted one of the guys first 3 picks and nailed all 3) But we'll fire off proposals to each other every day till something sticks. It's entertaining if anything.

Bylsma is killing me here. Seeing the same line twice in a row is a rarity. Makes things interesting and annoying. Mr. Featured (Kane) is bumped to the 2nd line.
And to use everyone's favorite phrase "to be fair.." Kane and Eichel's speed will mesh extremely well together. My concern here is Gionta's lack of offensive ability bringing them down. Then again, Brandon Sutter is playing with the Sedin's. I don't even know what color grass is anymore.

I sent a trade proposal last night to the guy that keeps trying to get Holtby from me. I asked for Bishop and offered Spezza and Lehtonen. Let's see if he accepts.

I read that this morning. Agree with the assessment. He was brought here to be the leader, and he's done a fine job of it so far. Praise from both fans and players and the coach. Who knew.

There are certain players that bring up everybody's offensive ability. If Eichel lives up to the hype, he will be one of those players.

Murray sending down Samson would be the same as Galavan stabbing Jerome in the neck.

My guess is he has Kane and Eichel together because Eichel will be taking over the 1C duties at some point this year.

Plus spreading out the top talent over a few lines makes it harder for the other team to shut them all down.

There are certain players that bring up everybody's offensive ability. If Eichel lives up to the hype, he will be one of those players.

I agree, which is why I should have reworded that to maybe their offensive potential could be maximized by putting someone with a little more ability and speed with them.

Gionta did put up 16 points in 14 games to end the year, so it's not like he doesn't have the capability to do it. Putting him with a guy like Eichel should definitely keep him on that same type of path.

I don't think coaches attach a number to a line anymore, no 1,2 or 3rd lines, etc. The only given is the 4th line. I could be wrong but that's how I tend to see it, it's just TOI averages that matter.

I was thinking the same thing but I also do believe when Reinhart adds more body mass and can essentially do anything Gio can do, including strong wall and net front play, he will for sure take over R2. Or even C2 when Eichel goes C1 and ROR plays R1/2
