Hey, I never said he was guilty of rape, but I think there's evidence that he's at least been guilty of assault (the cabbie) and poor judgment in the past (Wisconsin). He keeps finding himself in situations. It's been hard to explain to my kids.

It's not that hard to explain this situation to kids. They are smarter than we give them credit for. What I had a hard time explaining to my son was how a family member (in law enforcement) got away with multiple domestic violence issues.

Kane's contract is almost untradable as is, especially with his rep.

Serious money would have to retained by the Hawks or some really bad contracts comming back.

Great player but any trade involved with him will be disappointing to say the least.

Such a false statement. Plenty of people we're crying cash grab at the beginning, the rest had a wait and see approach with very small few calling for his head on a spike.

Most of the speculation (most as in anyone with a brain) about him being traded was on the grounds that he was found innocent or settled out of court.

Doesn't it become harder and harder to be open minded when one is in law enforcement? I can't imagine how many times you get lied to, one could presume one is guilty until proven innocent

Hopefully none of your kids gets falsely accused of a crime. Or if they are, no one with your mindset ends up on a jury convicting them without the full evidence

If it was submitted for testing, how is that not evidence and in an appropriate bag to be tracked? (not a question for you to answer...just a baffling situation if it was not treated as any other piece of possible evidence)

This was all explained. Here is the sequence which resulted in the mother having the bag.

1. Accuser left Kane's house and went to mother's house, where she changed her top.
2. Mother went with accuser to hospital to have rape kit administered.
3. While at hospital, the nurse learned that accuser changed her top and gave the mother the bag and told her to put the top in the bag and a police officer would stop by her house later in the day to pick it up and bring it to the hospital.
4. The police arrived at the mother's house to retrieve the accuser's top but they brought their own bag with which to transport the top. Therefore the bag that was used in the hoax was left in the possession of the mother.
5. Several weeks later, after the DNA evidence showed no Kane DNA below the accuser's waist or on her undergarments, the mother hatched to hoax using the bag she still had in an effort to discredit the DNA evidence.

Kane can be traded. Rick Nash was traded, as was Marion Gaborik. Both had large cap numbers at the time. Kane's contract might look very appealing to a team like Florida.

Who knows? I know you are convinced of Kane's absolute innocence—and therefore this girl MUST be a lying golddigger. because there's almost no way you can disconnect the two.

i'm not buying it yet. I am not sure (at all) he assaulted her. I think something happened to her that night. The EVIDENCE suggests something did. Just not that he did it directly.

Heard a lot of the XM radio today and there is a lot of "Out of Town" stupid going on regarding the Blackhawks .

The Blackhawks are the deepest team at Forward , I do believe the Ducks got better . But if you take away the game 3 that Q gifted the Ducks the Hawks were at least 2 games better than the Ducks last season .

I agree with most of you that the Blackhawks weakness is the #5-7 D men. But IF TVR can stay health than that is a pretty good top 5.

The Hawks are going to pile up the points thru January and then coast to the playoffs like they do every year , the seed and home ice does not matter to this CORE.

The only problem with banner night is that the players seems to be a bit wore out by the ceremony and then the 1st period is sloppy .

I really like the Hawks top 6 to do some serious damage .
