Weber has 1 effective skill... the PP. Our biggest hole is probably D effective on the PP. Not hard to see why he's still here. Hutton should make him expendable at the end of the season I hope. - boonerbuck

They said on the radio today he will stay in the KHL rather than playing on the Comets for 60 k a year.
I heard that too last year |

Guys?
Corrado?
What happened?
I understand that the Nucks needed to get down to a 23 man roster, but come on?!?! - As_I_See_It
You'd think we were the Maple Leafs. He's not a stud by any means..... Yet. But has alot of potential.
Im choked they waved him when they could have kept both Hutton and Frankie on the roster.
It boggles my mind. Stupid decision by guys who are new to the job.
Atleast Benning had the balls to waive Vey and not glorify him with all his terrible play.
Some GM's are stubborn and want to prove that the move they made was right, thank god they sent down Vey and swallowed their pride. |

Cedarholm is on the Comets.
Neil is big and puts up points but he is on for a lot of goals against on a bad team.
He was on for 5 of the 6 goals on Sunday -5 |

I think there is a better chance of seeing Pedan over Tryemkin |

I said yesterday I wasnt ready to lose Corrado on waivers without trying to acquire some kind of asset instead... Benning tried he says and naturally nothing at this time of the year. Maybe they should have waited a bit to waive him after GM's fill their depth tank off the wire... do the LTIR route instead. Thats a bit of a mistake maybe.
This is nothing like Gillis throwing 1st rounders and 30+ goal rookies away or anything... won't affect the future at all really.

Did Cedarholm get some late season games/playoffs for the Comets last year? |

TOR waived a winger who scored 11 goals last year to get Corrado.
I am sure Canucks mgmt went over every scenario over and over. IMO I don't think he fitted into what they were looking for. If he was , why did they try to trade him?
I think they were aware that a 22 yr old RHD was more than likely going to get picked up.
Benning today tried to be polite about Corrado as a person but didn't sound upset at all |

Many make at least a million and play half as many games.
I don't blame them for staying one bit. |

Yup agreed.
He knows what he wants . That's why we sit on this side of the door and he sits on the other. I like the direction of the team. |

Not only that but he plays in his home country.

It's sucks to lose an asset for nothing, but what are they supposed to do? To put Higgins on LTIR, he has to be injured severely enough to warrant it. They suggested on the radio today to just let him (Higgins) have October off. Are you kidding me? To protect our 8 D? And it wasn't some worked up caller, it was the (frank)ing host!
Vancouver waived him and the media here is what it is, and Toronto claimed him, and they're acting like they unearthed Orr while out dumpster diving. If it was any other two markets, this is a non story. |
