Where is the outrage about all of the players we lost for nothing during the off season. Cal O'Riley was the Comets leading scorer last year in both the regular season and playoffs, he was team captain and mentor to so many of our minor league players, and the team just let him walk away for nothing! - 1970vintage

So really what you are saying is that the team is no worse off today then they were yesterday, they just have one less player contract on the books.
It would have been nice to get a 5th or 6th round pick in exchange for Frankie, but it sounds like no one was even willing to part with that... - 1970vintage
My comment wasn't about Corrado, more about how this team is shaping up and management's view of it. But yes, actually getting something in return would have been nice. |

Yeech... this feels like we are at a high school reunion where everyone else has done better than us.
That being said, Corrado's upside was he was young... he was not exceptional in any phase of the game and his breakout passes where often poor/rushed/stupid. - Beatle_john
Yeah he tried those Harlem Globe trotter passes way too much on the breakout.
Virtanen has that same problem right now.

What did Corrado do well? other than interviews?
I seem a consistent theme.... Luongo, Bieksa, Lack, and Corrado.... all moved and all were arguably the best interviews on the team. |

Gillis sent him back twice also. Typical Vancouver crying over bubble players.

I would have liked to keep Corrado but you dont win games by liking players who just aren't good enough...... |

whats with all the whining? My god.
you guys would whine if we :
1. used him on the team, that other players were better or
2. if we traded him it wouldnt be enough or
3. waived him.
like all the whining last time about Lack sucking in net, then he was better than anyone else , when he wasnt played enough, then he sucked in net, then whine again when he was traded.
This has gotten retarded. |

what fascist laws are you referring to?
how exactly is he a religious radical? and preventing criticism of israel?
what has he done to destroy the wilderness?

C-51 isn't fascist. it's prudent policy to combat jihadist savages.
thetyee is funded by leftists/ socialists bent on a "progressive" agenda... - from their website: "Just over half of The Tyee's revenues are from two ongoing investors. They are Working Enterprises, a Vancouver-based labour-affiliated investment group that has as part of its mission funding socially-responsible organizations, and Eric Peterson and Christina Munck, whose B.C.-based Tula Foundation funds a wide range of progressive programs including those of the Hakai Institute on the B.C. Central Coast." I personally have no issue with Harper's religious beliefs or with Jews. In fact, i'm happier knowing he's an evangelical and i'm not christian :-)
McGill Daily- part of the McGill university community... tells you all you need to know. More than that there isn't any coherent arguement to point to an agenda to "destroy" the environment... it's just a lot of whinging cuz the government doesn't pander to the enviro-nazi agenda to impose their fascist totalitarian policies on working canadians. hobbling Canada's economy by signing onto dubious "environmental" initiatives is a losing proposition for ordinary Canadians.... |

Well according to Team 1040 the world is coming to and end, so it couldn't hurt.
Me? I'll pray to Joe Pesci. And for the cute little red head at the convenience store...
The one with the eye patch and the club foot.
Can you pray for something like that?
I'd think you'd have to. |

I stand corrected, I thought he was one of those NCAA free agents. Still don't understand why they let guys wait it out in the NCAA and then pick where to go instead. |

So trades/extensions poor, drafting great. Sounds like Benning is a shoe-in for a head scouting job. |
