It's funny because last year when I walked into the FNC on opening night I dreaded the season. The way I feel this year is a complete 180.

It sure does. I know there's going to be rough patches and stuff throughout the season, but just knowing that the worst is behind us is amazing.

I'm not going, but Andy is and Jen has to work til like 3. So we'll be there afterwards. I was going to go check in on my Grandpa that day, but he's actually in a senior living facility right now because a contractor hit a gas line and started his house on fire earlier this week.

as the pairings... obviously with the last 2 sitting.

Kane - Reinhart - Foligno
Eichel - Risto

Those pairings just might work out pretty well. What we had in the past didn't so it won't hurt.

Putting Carlo with Risto puts Risto back on the right side he's more comfortable on. Weber is playing a pairing higher than I'd like. According to TSN's website yesterday, Gorges is on IR...so I'm a bit confused about what's going on with him.

They also had 4 forwards and 1 D on the PP throughout most of preseason. Putting Ennis on the 2nd unit could be them trying to spread everything out more evenly over the 2 units.

I read an update from I thought it was Vogl saying that he talked to Gorges and he is going to do warmups tonight and try to see if he can play.

I think putting hte kids on the top PP with Kane and Foligno is going to not be good for them. I'd be fine with one of 23/15.

I just think of pressure. I don't want there to be too much pressure on them to be "superstars" on the first night. Let them ease into it and get comfortable on the ice with grown men. Let them do 2nd and 3rd lines and 2nd line PP.

My concern with this is if he's really that unsure, he shouldn't play. The last thing they need is to be down to 5 because he thinks he can do it and then halfway through the game that changes.

The Clown's a bum, the team STINKS and they are a bunch of scrubs.
