I just think of pressure. I don't want there to be too much pressure on them to be "superstars" on the first night. Let them ease into it and get comfortable on the ice with grown men. Let them do 2nd and 3rd lines and 2nd line PP.

Didn't work for Reinhart last year but I get your point.

I just can't wait to see a much more aggressive and punishing team to play against. Kane and ROR up front is going to be amazing to watch push the ice and take the body.

The difference between us and them as of right now, is they have a known in goal. Rask will definitely keep them in games more often than not. Whether or not Lehner can do that is completely unknown right now.

I can see a slow start for us, on account of a new system (or really, having a system will be new), need for general "gelling", and big ? On defense and in goal. Expectations are low, and that's a good thing, IMO.

Things like this make me so thankful that I've never lived in that type of environment.

Maybe being a woman makes it different. I always check to make sure there's TP when I'm in a public restroom before I start the task at hand.

Thing about Boston, they have Rask and know how to lock a game down on defense. They'll be worse - almost can't not be - but they'll have an easier time than us this year, IMO. But this is about when the success curve between us starts to cross. Boston's in trouble for the next 3 years or so.

It's funny because on NHL.com, they have a story about how tonight is Eichel's debut as part of the top stories and next to it is a link to an article about McDavid's debut tonight. You'd think it would actually be the other way around.
