The interesting part is that I don't know that Edmonton's defense got a lot better now that I look at it. While Sekera isn't a bad player, he's not what I would consider a top pair guy. He's good in a second pair role. They sent Nurse to the AHL and Reinhart didn't really impress me much late last year with the Isles.

Anyone catch Sharts/Kings last night? Its nice to see Lucic not get a free pass to do what ever he wants in a game. I dont't think he's going to like the West coast so much. Especially seeing the Ducks and to a lesser extent, the sharks often.

It's funny because on NHL.com, they have a story about how tonight is Eichel's debut as part of the top stories and next to it is a link to an article about McDavid's debut tonight. You'd think it would actually be the other way around.

It's almost like NHL's way of saying you don't deserve him so we are going to talk up Eichel

A great clean hit by Couture. I don't think what Lucic did warranted a match though but most certainly a game misconduct.

I dont think ive ever heard anyone say that Eichel had personality flaws. But that is great to hear from Gorges. I remember hearing about Grigorenko when he first git here. That kid rubbed everyone the wrong way. Awesome to hear that Eichel is Nothing like that..

Canadian media has no idea who he is. first mention of him came in the pre season and most are still treating the gap between him and mcdavid as Crosby-Ryan.
