I haven't paid attention to baseball in years now, but back when I was a fan, most of my fandom revolved around former Bisons parent teams or teams that got a couple of my favorite Bisons when the league expanded:

Indians
Pirates
Marlins (Orestes Destrade was a signing in their inaugural season)
Diamondbacks (Jay Bell was a signing in their inaugural season)

Not bad with my expansion draft picks.

At the end, I was a huge Diamondbacks fan and always a Pirates fan (again dates back to Bisons/Jay Bell - as he did with the Indians too)


NBA? Liked the Bulls with Pippen back in the day and Magic with Shaw/Anfernee

I have 0 interest in the NBA. I like going to baseball games here and there, but have no allegiance to any team for the most part. I do kind of like to keep tabs on the parent club of the Bisons though, so the Blue Jays have been interesting to keep an eye on this year. They also happened to be the major league game I saw this year as well.

I don't basketball.

I usually find someone to root for in baseball in October, and I liked going to Giants and A's games back in the day.

So Buffalo fans, since there are only the Sabres and Bills for professional teams in the area. What teams do you support for NBA and MLB?

McDavid is amazing and all that, and there's plenty of talent around him, but let's not act like Buffalo's top six doesn't look real good too.

Both these guys, by the way, will be top-eight in league scoring.

I think I'd take the over on wins, hesitantly, but no way am I going near 78 points. I think they'll finish between 77-82 points. It's just so damn hard to predict this team with half the roster turning over. Ideally we do what the Canadiens did in '10? I think? Where they finished last in the conference, turned over half their roster, started off slow, but the jelled and went on a tear and made the conference finals. Now I don't think that the Sabres will make the playoffs let alone the conference finals, but I think they'll be near the basement for the first half-ish, and then go maybe .666-.750 over the last half. That's best case.

Also when the Hell is Eichel going to be added to the HBSL?

That doesn't make sense to me as I had read somewhere on here that the rules were that he'd have to play his first NHL game before he could be added... Maybe I read that wrong or some jackass was just making poop up.
