He'll be back. He is just a little confused.

It's like the guy who hasn't seen his ex in a long time and gets back with her ...it's only a matter of time before he realizes why he left her in the first place

Not when nude, but you can make a B look like a D in a very nice push up bra. Can't push up an A

Looking at that roster we need a big talented winger in the top 6.

Bouma is out of place.

I spreadsheeted the roster/salaries for next year and it would be pretty tough keeping Huddler, Okoposo, Colborne and Wideman on the roster even at moderate raises for the Hud's Colborne and Oko.

I am guessing with todays salaries I would guess Gaudreau and Monahan are looking for raises North of $5,000,000 on 3-4 yr deals. I would guess if this year goes well that they would be looking for contracts closer to $6,000,000 or am I wrong?

I might have added it up wrong but I think they would aim for a 3 year deal for Gaudreau and a 4 year deal for Monahan as that would still make them RFA's for 1 more contract. I think UFA status is defined as age plus years in the NHL have to equal 28 so Mony might have a more years as an RFA to go?

Sorry all if I am wrong on these numbers. I think if it could be done without giving up a 1st round pick I think Okoposo could be a nice fit in the top 6.

I wonder if the Flyers are out of playoffs come January if Simmonds would be attainable. Guessing that's probably not a possibility as Philly would want a horrible contract to go along with him.

if oko came over hudler/colborne could be moved. And I would think wideman would be the other piece (with salary retained).

is backland possibly a piece that would do it?

It's more important to consider the year after that when Bennett will also require a new deal.

Keep in mind that by then contracts like Wideman, Jones, Raymond, Engelland, Smid, and Bollig will all be off the books. Even then Stajan will still have a year left. I think that in an offer (for Okposo) they have to send Wideman the other way (with retained salary). Yesterdy I suggested something like Wideman, Granlund, and a conditional 2nd (which would become a third if Okposo does not resign).

I think that if they go for a player like Okposo, that it will mean that Hudler won't be back. They can't spend the money required on both of them, unless Hudler is willing to take a deal.

Assuming that Ferland is able to stop up, and Poirier becomes what is hoped of him, then their top 6 could be come Gaudreau - Monahan - Okposo, with Ferland - Bennett - Poirier behind them.

I know I’m going to get a lot of angry comments back about this but I truly think management is interested or willing to deal Bennet. We have all herd the rumors that Calgary was going after or involved in conversations for Kessel. Some of us have herd Calgary has talked to Tampa about Stamkos! I get the feeling that management is interested in dealing him for top 10 player!
