When he is playing well he is pretty solid.

I think it's a confidence problem with him and that Boston made it worse with Julien and the stress of "never make a mistake or you will be banished" mentality.

If he grows and has support to improve he will be a solid top four.

I know it is game one but I am sure Canucks will extend him

And you know what's great? He doesn't have the Keslord ego to say I'm a center or nothing, plus he's getting a promotion essentially.

You guys liking the top line tonight? Im willing to give Sutter an extended stay on the first line b/c it's a new position for him but I haven't been impressed thus far (preseason and 1st two periods).

The 2 goals were not really generated due to line play and I'm not complaining but I've seen a few shifts where Sutter doesn't know what to do when the twins are cycling (especially behind the net). He just looks uncomfortable.

Like I said, Sutter needs time to adjust but thus far, I'm not sure.

Hutton didn't pinch. He was at the blue line and puck was lifted over his head, he had coverage from centreman... It was all Sbisa.

When you go from the blue line to the top of the circle it's a pinch. He gets caught out of position, the wrong play with a 2 goal lead.

He pinched but then tried to turn when he he knew he was in no man's land.

He has to be aware of who is out there. Against the Monohan line, he shouldnt be going for the puck down low. Horvat was the centre and he was low by the hash marks. It turned into a brief 2 on 1.

It was a rookie mistake. It's to be expected but he has to learn from it.

I like their style a lot more from what I've seen in the last three games they create about 6-8 chances a game , they look more defensively reliable, and they are playing as a three man unit

How comfortable would you be knowing you are going to look like this someday.

Geez. Looks like he's trying to conjure up some zombies. There's already 1 sitting behind him.

Well if anyone can turn him into a winger, it's the sedins.

Gonna take a few games.

Having said that, I could see Willie sit McCann on Saturday and put vrbata with the twins. This would allow Jake to go back to the 10pt line.

Oddly, he's actually the best looking of the Sutters.

Yup I think it is going to be one game in one game out for the rookies. He will revisit the Bo Sven JV line again
