Not sure why he was selected captain? You guys need to strip him of it and give it to Doughty, your best player...

He's been captain since 2008. No one questioned it then because he was producing. His play started to dip following the lockout season. He was actually on a decent goal scoring pace during that shortened year. A lot was forgiven in 13-14 because the Kings won the Cup, but that year his play really dipped. He was awful last year. I don't know if stripping him of the captaincy given his experience, the two cups, and his contract makes a lot of sense. Trading him does, but to whom?

Kopitar sounds like the logical choice to me. I don't know how much longer Brown can continue to be captain if he keeps playing poorly..

Why do people get so pissed when other fans go to talk a little trash on other blogs? I have never got that. How boring is it to talk to the same boring people over and over again. People calling people trolls is the funniest thing to me

Because I don't think too many people find trolling as a cure for a boring blog and trolling should be left to talk radio.

Sometimes, when the trolls come on here, they throw out comments that direct the conversation to an irrelevant or emotionally-driven topic in relation to the blog post. Remember all the troll comments about Slava and Richards this summer? Most of the time, those topics only had tangential relevance to the subject of the blog and the trolls were just spewing to spew to get people ticked. I get that the comments sometimes drift to a different topic than the blog post, but when done in a respectful manner, it is usually two or more commenters taking it that direction willingly and without the intention to rile someone up.

We all should abide by it. This site needs referees and board mods badly.

Note also that the Ducks/Sharks/Kings boards have an inordinate number of trolls relative to the other boards on this site. I don't think that's positive. You might. I don't think most do.

Well there's a line between friendly trash talking and just talking poop on other people's blogs to piss people off and get a reaction. The latter is what you would call a troll but I agree, the Kings blogs would be pretty boring if it wasn't for us Sharks fans

waiting for the Richards blog, but reading what was released it seems like that little turd got the long end of the stick- I can safely say I am not a fan of Richards and only give him the shred of respect for the first cup and even less of a shred for the 2nd cup. I hope he signs somewhere soon so I can watch his career ending concussion
