The more and more I watch Eichel goal the more and more I don't mind the goal song. It just works. People just need to have some fun and roll with it. But they won't because then their lives would suck because they would have noting to female dog about.

There will always be plenty to complain about, but that song is just terrible and horrifically annoying.

If they get rid of about half of the 'here we go now' it would be great. I think it takes too long to get to the important part of the bit. In a big game, or when a big goal is scored (like the challenge disallowed goal) it will be fun and get the crowd extra amped up through the next faceoff when everyone is told to make some noise.
Also, the coaches challenge is a load of poop. Sure they got the call right but it took way too long and it is completely unnatural for the sport of hockey. This isnt football
NHL screwed up i think

Hopefully the away team feels that way when they get scored on. Im glad it isnt swords of a thousand men. Dont care for either song in general but this one works way better for its intended purpose of getting the crowd fired up. Id love it if it was a little shorter.

I don't understand what the big fuss is about. I've been jamming to that song since I was 10 or 11 years old! Always has put me in a good mood. I'm not saying it's what I would've personally chosen, but based on all the options presented I am totally okay with it. Fits the team. Young, unproven, just trying to have a good time out there.

That song is horrible, it was bad before and it's still bad now.

Swords of a thousand men was awful and still is. It's so slow and doesn't really care any emotion with it.

Was the arena supposed to boo Eichel's first goal or the first goal of the season for that matter? - sskkoo1
No but that song came on and the arena erupted....
Like I said most people are going to complain about just to complain. While they are being upset and miserable when the goal song comes on I'm going to embrace it and have fun.

Of course the arena is going to erupt when the home team scores and it's the first goal of the season after two years of being a last placed team, and the teams new savor put it in the basket for his career first. And, of course it's fine if you like the song, everyone has their opinion.
But I think you'll be surprised how many people dislike the song.
People that don't like the goal song. You are old, white and come from a generation that refused to acknowledge hip hop as a legitimate art form. An art form that is 37 years old. Heck the goal song turns 20 next year.

It was the last song I wanted out of all of them but at the arena last night it actually worked. They play a part of it that definitely fits. Now if they play the "Let me clear my throat" part then that would be a different story.
I just don't think I could do an Eichel or Reinhart...
Something weird about me... I'm a big dude... I'm 6'5 and 270 lbs.. so I just feel beyond stupid wearing some little dude's jersey like Eichel or Reinhart. I feel the same way about NFL jerseys... Could never buy a RB or DB's jersey. Nah fam... I rock Eddie Lacy, Clay Matthews, or Mike Daniels only. - JVince11
Eichel isn't really that small. 6'2" 210 I think. Which is on the high end of average for the NHL.

Proud to be old and white, and yes, I will never acknowledge hip-hop as art because it not, it's babble.
His best play was one nobody has shown or talked much about, where he was 1 on 2 going into the offensive zone, and chipped the puck to an open space where it looked like either one of the D or the goalie would easily get the puck, only to see him beat everyone to the puck and put a shot on goal that almost went in, and almost had Kane depositing the rebound.
Amazing play. - kingcong39
You talking about the one where he beat everyone into the corner from the front of the net? That play was pretty great too if not.

Well I'm really, really old and don't care for hip hop but I didn't mind that song, kinda liked it actually. Some just make too big a deal out of things. I care more about the goalie situation.
if you do not like the coaches being able to make a challenge, your probably too young to remember this

That's not a reviewable goal. If that's the LeClair side of the net goal. The video won't play for me. Only offside and goalie interference can be challenged.

All goals are reviewed now that hasn't changed.
The challenges can only be for offside and goalie interference.
