Petry is better. Phaneuf get's caught of position so often trying to lay a big hit and considering what he's being paid you'd want someone with a little more defensive ability. Worst of all he's on the wrong side of 30 so the deal looks worse with each passing season. At least he habs will get most of petry in his prime(ish).
