That "franchise" quarterback has taken his team to the playoffs once. They've been a complete mess otherwise. And he has Calvin Johnson to throw to.

Stafford has had a 5000 yard season and a few 4000 yard ones.

He's been top 5 in passing. Flutie was never higher than 11th or something like that

It's kind of hard to compare for the most part though because the game is played so differently now compared to back that long ago.

I do know that Stafford is a terrible game manager, and that may be a more important aspect than piling up the yards/catches.

reich is hard to really judge since he never really got his shot. but i respect your opinion and agree he is not a bad QB. Flutie was never a great QB but he was able to put together what he needed to win while here
