Just to review: the Bruins traded their best defenseman because "they had to" and the only guy they brought in to replace him was Matt Irwin

If he can't make it on Boston's defense with all their injuries we need no part of him. Lol

Russell is someone who still has a lot left he is only 28 I believe. He would be an upgrade to the top 4 but I believe he is on the last year of his deal.

You couldn't argue he would be a part of the rebuild because this clearly wasn't the plan to have Lehner play 2 periods and miss 2 months.

Boston is a mess...Irwin is a bottom pairing guy not the answer for the top 4 but he's better than Weber

I don't know what Boston is doing, but i think him on waivers is similar to Talbot being on waivers. Max clears but isn't sent down.

But Irwin being on waivers is really weird, especially with their D situation. More on Claude putting his lack of depth in positions that they can't succeed in, such as Irwin playing Top 4 minutes

No point taking on another contract for a guy you already have currently on the roster. I thought avs should claim him since hes better than Guenin. But then you waste a contract and have to send one of them down to the AHL anyways.

He was cut but still under contract, he cleared waivers and is still Oil property. The Sabres should try for Subban, Hiller is junk and so is Scrivens.
